We checked into Pop about 9, and since we hadn't eaten on plane, went right to food court after unloading luggage.

the cast of our tableau was:

me
my 6 yo DD
my neighbor (DN)
her mother (DNM)

Some of our meals were together, and some were seperate.

Friday night, 1/16 Pop Century Food court

I had the cheese steak wrap meal, dd had a choc. chip cookie.
$22 with the refillable mug. The wrap was very good, served with the ever present french fries. A

Saturday, 1/17

We skipped breakfast, to get to MK on time. During the morning we stopped for a break. Had a choc. chip muffin and bottle of water from Westward Ho foodcart, across from Pecos Bill's. Muffin fresh and moist. $5.00. DD and I split. A

Lunch -- stopped at Pinnochio's. DD had kids hot dog meal, I had Figaro fries. ( FF again!!! It must be the official food of WDW!!!)
These fries are good though. I did think the fries were somewhat soggy, maybe from all the cheese. But it is always a must do! B

Dinner -- we had 5:00 PS for Ohana. We checked in at 4:45. They called us right at 5. We were seated next to window, right behind the bar. We looked down on the small volcano fountain, and several buildings of the Poly. This was my first dinner there, so everything was explained to me!! Our drink order was taken, I had a strawberry daquiri, DN & DNM both had Malibu Macaw. Our server was Nour, and he was very prompt and attentive. They brought the tray of food, and we dug in. I really liked the chicken wings and salad. I don't eat green beans or seafood, so I didn't have any wontons. We had 2 bowls of salad and chicken wings. The rice was OK. I have had better at home. They brought the skewers of meat, Steak and turkey first. The steak was good, the turkey was ok. I tried all the dipping sauces. I really liked the peanut sauce. By the time they brought the shrimp and pork we were getting full! I had a piece of pork, and it was really good with the fruit sauce. The fruit sauce was good with the bread, too. The ginger cilantro sauce was good also. I liked it with the steak. We ate until we were really full.

DD had macaroni and cheese from the cafe. I tasted it and it was just like Stouffer's.

After they brought our warm washclothes, they brought the pineapple with caramel sauce. This was a new combination for me, and it was good, but the pineapple wasn't ripe at all. It was very hard, and I was disappointed. I enjoyed this meal, and will do it again, but probably not with DD. I paid $9.99 for macaroni and cheese!! I knew you could order off the Kona Cafe kids menu, but I didn't know you paid Ohana's price for it.

For the 4 of us, it was between 90 and $100. A

Next two days later!!!

Glad you enjoyed your dinner at Ohana. We too experienced it for the first time just last month and we were very impressed.

I wonder if the kids price depends on who you get as a server? Our kids got kids meals and our waiter told us since they didnt eat from the regular meal, that they wouldnt be charged the "all you can eat" price, but just for their meal. That stinks that you got charged for that. To be honest though, my kids had so much fun witht he coconut races, I wouldnt have minded paying a few extra bucks for the "entertainment". ;)

Thanks for the review of Ohanas. GOing for my first time in a few weeks and I can not wait.

Sounds Great

I can't wait until I am at that POP food court, you made me very jealous, LOL

and because she had memories of the character breakfast we did there 2 yrs ago, was very hesitant about going. She didn't want to go at all, but I just told her to stuff it!!! She would not participate in any of the activities, and didn't eat enough to make a difference. She only ate about 1/2 the macaroni and cheese, and one small spoon of rice!!

I enjoyed it, so I told my DH next time we go to the world, we will eat there by ourselves, and let DD go with her older brother!!
