Here are some brief reviews/thoughts regarding some meals I had during the last trip. Also, I used my DDE for the first time and saved $70 (not bad for only one person).
May 17th - Dinner: Boma
I just love this place. This was my 4th visit in 4 trips. I think this is the best buffet on property. Lots of flavorful options and a great selection. The soup station is definitely a highlight.
May 18th - Dinner: Artist Point
Had the Buffalo which was very good, though I do wish it had it was served with something other then the mashed sweet potatoes and sweet onion jam. Although good I thought thay detracted from the Buffalo. The cobbler for dessert was excellent. I enjoy this restaurant, but probably not quite to the same level as CG, FF, or Citricos
May 19th - Dinner: Ohana
The sides were a bit dissapointing as the shrimp wontons and chicken wings were a bit dry. That did not impact my enjoyment as the real highlight is the skewer service. I will be going back.
May 20th - Dinner: Citricos
This meal was a real highlight. This is just an amazing restaurant that I would recommend for any special occasion. The service was excellent and the food was great. Especially enjoyed the Foie Gras ravioli (quite possibly on of the best dishes I have ever had). The braised veal shank was also excellent. And desserts at the Grand Floridian are always outstanding.
May 21st - Dinner: Cape May Cafe
Another developing tradition. My vote for second best buffet (very close behind Boma). Only complaint was that the carved beef was overcooked (I prefer rare). Otherwise, the food is excellent.
May 22nd - Dinner: Yachtsman Steakhouse
The Tomato and Mozzarala Salad was huge and very good. Followed this up with the Porterhouse. Kitchen made an error and cooked my steak to medium, but they quickly corrected this (a great steak). This is the place to go if you have a beef craving.
May 23rd - Dinner: Flying Fish Cafe
This, along with Citricos, were the dining highlights. Had the Crab Cake to start and really enjoyed it. My entree was the Potato Wrapped Snapper. I have had this before and really think it is an amazing dish. Dessert was the amazing Valrohna Chocolate Souffle. Service was excellent. I recommend trying a counter seat with full view of the kitchen; definitely an experience. This is another place I would highly recommend for a special meal.
So those were my highlights. Hopefully someone will find my brief ramblings either useful or helpful.
