Here are some brief reviews/thoughts regarding some meals I had during the last trip. Also, I used my DDE for the first time and saved $70 (not bad for only one person).

May 17th - Dinner: Boma
I just love this place. This was my 4th visit in 4 trips. I think this is the best buffet on property. Lots of flavorful options and a great selection. The soup station is definitely a highlight.

May 18th - Dinner: Artist Point
Had the Buffalo which was very good, though I do wish it had it was served with something other then the mashed sweet potatoes and sweet onion jam. Although good I thought thay detracted from the Buffalo. The cobbler for dessert was excellent. I enjoy this restaurant, but probably not quite to the same level as CG, FF, or Citricos

May 19th - Dinner: Ohana
The sides were a bit dissapointing as the shrimp wontons and chicken wings were a bit dry. That did not impact my enjoyment as the real highlight is the skewer service. I will be going back.

May 20th - Dinner: Citricos
This meal was a real highlight. This is just an amazing restaurant that I would recommend for any special occasion. The service was excellent and the food was great. Especially enjoyed the Foie Gras ravioli (quite possibly on of the best dishes I have ever had). The braised veal shank was also excellent. And desserts at the Grand Floridian are always outstanding.

May 21st - Dinner: Cape May Cafe
Another developing tradition. My vote for second best buffet (very close behind Boma). Only complaint was that the carved beef was overcooked (I prefer rare). Otherwise, the food is excellent.

May 22nd - Dinner: Yachtsman Steakhouse
The Tomato and Mozzarala Salad was huge and very good. Followed this up with the Porterhouse. Kitchen made an error and cooked my steak to medium, but they quickly corrected this (a great steak). This is the place to go if you have a beef craving.

May 23rd - Dinner: Flying Fish Cafe
This, along with Citricos, were the dining highlights. Had the Crab Cake to start and really enjoyed it. My entree was the Potato Wrapped Snapper. I have had this before and really think it is an amazing dish. Dessert was the amazing Valrohna Chocolate Souffle. Service was excellent. I recommend trying a counter seat with full view of the kitchen; definitely an experience. This is another place I would highly recommend for a special meal.

So those were my highlights. Hopefully someone will find my brief ramblings either useful or helpful.

Thanks for the reviews! We are considering both Artist Point and Citricos for an adult evening during our December trip, which would you suggest?

well you have convinced me to try flying fish..
actually all your reviews sounded great

citricos is now going to be on my list of places to eat as well

thanks for taking the time

Both are very good. But I have to give the edge to Citricos. It really is a great restaurant. I would definitely suggest the Foie Gras Ravioli. As far as drinks go - the Sour Apple Margarita is very good. For dessert - the Creme Brule.

Really enjoyed your reviews ~ Thanx for sharing.

You had my two favorite items at Citrico's....the Foie Gras Ravioli and the Veal Shank. I will be having both of those this coming Sunday night when we dine there - I can't wait!

I agree wholeheartedly that Boma is the best buffet on WDW property! And since we agree on that, i will make a point to do the Cape May buffet for dinner on my next trip. We did breakfast there a few years ago, but now I would like to try dinner! I have also been wanting to try Yachtsmans and Flying Fish.

DH and I had a marvelous dinner at Citricos a few years ago.

Thanks for the reviews!

I see you are from vancouver...have you ever eaten at Lumiere? It was my dream to eat there, but I got ill on our trip to Vancouver last year and we never made it! :sad2:
