My dining reviews:

7/22 lunch at Rainforest Cafe, Downtown- although not on DDP, well worth it! My kids (15,4,1) loved it. A bit pricey but good food. My DH & 15 yr old son split the trio (steak, shrimp, ribs) me & other kids split pepp. pizza. Great experience.
7/22 dinner at Chef Mickey's- character interaction was great, food horrible. Breakfast I heard was good but dinner was lacking we all thought. My DD turned 1 & they gave her a cute cupcake & sang.

7/23 breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table-I paid for this well in advance, definately worth it. MY DH was dreading it but enjoyed it. We thought the breakfast food was good. Our reservations was before the park opened so the streets were empty-great photo time.

7/23 dinner at our resort ALL Star Movies-we just did a CS meal, food was good

7/24 lunch at Rainforest Cafe, Animal Kingdom-again great food. I had Burger. Just wish it was on DDP. Love the place.

7/24 dinner at Raglan Road, Downtown West Side-what a pleasant surprise, we didn't have reservations, only waited 5-10 min., food was great. At 8pm live band comes in & plays irish music. Really enjoyed.

7/25 lunch at LeCellier, Epcot Canada-food was good, atmosphere good.

7/25 dinner at Coral Reef, Epcot-food & atmosphere wonderful. Our favorite by far. Steak was great, chocolate wave desert awesome. Kids loved the tank. Great experience.

7/26 lunch Sci-Fi MGM-food was good, fun atmosphere.

7/26 dinner at Planet Hollywood, Downtown- kind of a let down. Atmosphere was good, food a little lacking. Probably won't go back on future trip.

We ate breakfast every morning at our resort (good food). We had 3 left over CS meals when we checked out & got personal pizzas to go; we had about 8 snacks left & got drinks & rice krispiy treats to go.

DDP was a great value for my family. We paid about $624 for it & I added up our TS meals & they totaled $770.21. That was just the TS meals alone. Well worth it. We will do it again next year. :cheer2:

Thanks for the report - did you make ADRs for all the TS meals except the Raglan Road?

We're thinking about giving the Coral Reef a try again. Had a bad meal there several years ago and it's nice to hear others say the food is good - DH will appreciate hearing about the steak - what did the rest of you have and where did you sit? I'm thinking it might not be best to sit right by the windows. What do you think?

Best wishes -

Thanks for your reviews - sorry Chef Mickey's wasn't great - we did the breakfast there, too and really liked it - I think I'll def. stick with breakfast. I wish the Rainforest Care was on DDP, too - but the menu sounds so good that we'll probably do it anyway!

My DH, 15 yr old son & I all had steak at Coral Reef. My 4 yr old son had pizza. We all pick it as our best meal. We didn't sit near the tanks. We sat at a round table up on the 1st level but still had a good view of tanks.

Oh, we didn't have reservations at LeCellier or Ragland Road. We actually had reservations at Concourse Steakhouse & Crystal Plalace, but after Chef Mickey's dinner we didn't know about another buffet or eating at the Contemporary Hotel again, so we cancelled those.

Glad to hear the steak at CR was good, that what I had planned on ordering! Thanks for the reviews!

Thanks for the reviews. I keep hearing bad things about Coral Reef so its nice to hear a good review about it.

How does the dining plan fit in with your 1 year old? Do you just buy their food? Next time we go, we'll have a 14 month old so I was curious! Great reviews by the way! I agree with Chef Mickeys lacking on the dinner menu, great interaction, and we also love Rainforest cafe, I wish they would add that to the DP!

We didn't pay for the 1 yr. old. She just shared w/ us. You could just buy the kids meal but it's really a waste in my opinion. You get plenty of food. At Coral Reef she was ill because she was hungry & our nice waitress brought her this delicious cheese lobster soup at no charge (it was her idea).
Our 4 yr. old even shared with us at LeCellier & Raglan Road. With appetizer, entree & desert, it's a lot of food.

Have you booked your 2007 trip yet? Just wondering when the 2007 rates come out. We would like to go end of May or 1st of June.

Hi Lori,

Thanks for the reviews. Can you tell me what your family ate at Ragland? I just made an ADR for our trip and haven't seen many reviews. I just read in the Unofficial Guide that it was a good place. TIA...

Lauren

At Raglan Road, we all had the drunken chicken appetizer, Steak, mashed potatoes. My husband had bread pudding for desert and my son & I both had some kind of chocolate desert like a mousse. It was really good. Can't wait to go back there next year. :thumbsup2

Thanks, Lori! Looking forward to going there as well. I was not sure if DF or DS would like the menu but it sounds to me that it will be fine...All the best!

We will be eating lunch at LeCellier also. What did you have for your meals? I know the menu is a little different at lunch, but I hope it is just as good as the dinner menu as lunch works much better for us. Thanks for your report!

Thanks for sharing your reviews. We're looking forward to trying Raglan Road and Coral Reef. Glad to hear you enjoyed them. :thumbsup2
