3 adults, June 22-29, split stay Wilderness Lodge/Grand Floridian.
Table Service
Cape May Cafe -- dinner buffet. We were all very pleased with this buffet. Good service, overall good food. The fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, and chicken were great.
Whispering Canyon Cafe -- lunch. Carnivore skillet and chopped salad. The salad was very good. The skillet was okay. The ribs were dry and tough.
Mama Melrose -- dinner. Rigatoni Bolognese, Italian pasta with chicken, spaghetti & meatballs. Good meal. Great service.
Plaza -- lunch. Split turkey club, loaded fries, and each had a sundae. Food was okay. Fries were cold. Service was very slow and inattentive. Waited and asked repeatedly for drink refills.
1900 Park Fare -- dinner. Great character interaction, good service, so-so food. The mashed potatoes were awesome. Strawberry soup was good -- like a melted strawberry shake. Would probably not return.
Biergarten -- dinner. Food was okay, nothing special. Enjoyed the sauerkraut, potatoes, and chicken. Entertainment was fine. Were seated next to the dance area which was annoying with people so close to my food.
Rainforest Cafe -- lunch. Split the beef lava nachos, which were very good, and the appetizer adventure combo which was not. Service was fine.
Yachtsman Steakhouse -- dinner. Ordered the bread service, lobster bisque, wedge salad, prime rib, and two filets. Awesome service and food. Best meal of the trip. Will definitely return. Everything was perfect.
The Boathouse -- dinner. First order of fried clams was a basket of crumbles. Asked if this was the norm and our waiter said no and promptly brought us a new order, which were good. Daughter ordered the sliders (dry; meat not tender). Husband ordered crab cakes (very good) and I ordered a special -- pan crusted halibut which was very good. Also had mac & cheese and truffle fries for the table. Good service.
Paddlefish -- dinner. Husband only. Ordered the fried green tomato appetizer which he said was excellent. Also had the shrimp boil which was good.
Hollywood & Vine -- dinner. Daughter and I only. Good service, good character interaction. Terrible food. Golden Corral would be a step up. The only item I found that was really good was the red velvet mini cupcake, which was very fresh. Would never return here.
Steakhouse 71 -- dinner. Prime rib and filets here. Everything was good. One of our favorites. Will be back. Probably the best meal for the price on Disney property in our opinion.
QUICK SERVICE
Roaring Fork -- ate breakfast here twice. Ordered breakfast platter, croissant sandwich, loaded totchos bowl, and bear claw. Food was okay. Bear claw is huge. Not quite as good or as friendly of CMs here as at GF quick service.
Gasparilla Grill -- ate breakfast here several times. Ordered breakfast platter, cinnamon rolls, danish, waffle platter, oatmeal. Cinnamon rolls need heated 30 seconds and then they are great. Oatmeal was flavorless. Overall fine and served the purpose. Friendly CMs daily.
Cosmic Ray's -- lunch. Ordered cheeseburger, fries, and chicken nuggets. Typical. Everything was hot. Miss the good toppings bar.
Sunshine Seasons -- lunch. Ordered Mongolian beef stirfry, pizza roll, and birria tacos. Everything was good for QS.
Pineapple Lanai -- evening snack. Dole whips and vanilla soft serve. Typical. Was hoping for a pineapple spear here but they did not have them. Maybe those are only found at Disneyland.
