DH and I just returned from a great week at the BC and we LOVED the dining plan! Here are our reviews:
Saturday lunch - Hurricane Hannah's. We had 2 Cape Cod wraps, 2 bags of pretzels, 2 waters, 2 chocolate chip cookies. The wraps were flavorful and filling. Overall a good meal for a pool restaurant.
Saturday dinner - Kona. This is a must-do for us and we loved our meal here. We shared the crab cakes and sticky wings for appetizers. DH had the filet w/asparagus and mashed potatoes. I had the turkey medallions. We both had the Kiddie Kone for dessert and it was delicious and fun to eat!
Sunday lunch - Pecos Bills. This our first time here and we will definitely be back. DH had the bacon double cheeseburger w/fries and I had the chick wrap w/carrots. We both had soda and the peanut butter brownie mousse. The dessert was excellent for a prepackaged item.
Monday lunch - Backlot Express. We both had soda and the grilled turkey & cheese sandwich (1 w/fries, 1/carrots). It was delicious and filling. We both had the chocolate bundt cake for dessert which was good, but a little dry. A great cs choice for MGM.
Monday dinner - Wolfgang Puck Cafe. We had eaten here before and it was excellent this time as well. We shared the crab cakes and calamari. DH had the chicken/pancetta fettuccine which he said was very good and not too heavy. I had the grouper special w/mashed potatoes. We had the white chocolate cheesecake and key lime pie for dessert. My key lime pie was probably the best I have ever had!!
Tuesday lunch - Earl of Sandwich. I had the meatball sandwich with a brownie for dessert. DH had the Earl Club (which he said was great) and a tropical muffin crown for dessert. We both wanted bottled water but it wasn't allowed, so we each had soda.
Tuesday dinner - ESPN, paid oop. We shared the nachos and each had a burger w/fries. We went to watch the Red Sox/Yankees game and enjoyed the atmosphere.
We walked to the Boardwalk Bakery after dinner for dessert and used 2 snack credits for a chocolate eclair and a cheesecake brownie. The brownie was AMAZING!
Wednesday lunch - Earl of Sandwich. We split an egg salad sandwich and a Caprese (fresh buffalo mozz and tomato). Both were excellent and were better than our sandwiches the day before. We each had a brownie and soda.
Wednesday dinner - California Grill. This was the best meal of the week and definitely worth the 2 TS credits!! We had a 7:20 reservation with Wishes scheduled to go off at 9:00. This was PERFECT timing. We were finishing our dessert at our window-seat table just as the lights dimmed, the fireworks started and the music was piped in. Such a great experience, we'll definitely go again. Now for the meal....we each had the lobster/artichoke salad which was excellent - chunks of lobster. Then we each had the beef filet w/potato gratin and sugar snap peas. This was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were amazing. DH had the apple tart and I had the chocolate caramel molten cake. The desserts were excellent, especially the apple tart!
Thursday lunch - Sunshine Seasons at Epcot. This was the best cs meal we had all week. DH had the mongolian beef stir fry w/rice and I had the chicken caesar salad. We each got soda and a bag of baked lays. We split the butterfinger cheesecake and carrot cake for dessert. Everything was fresh and it was a great value.
Thursday dinner - Le Cellier. Another must-do for us and it was as good as ever. DH had the beef kabob and I had the mussels for appetizers. The mussels here are the best I have ever had and I was happy to see them still on the menu. We both had the 7 ounce filet w/ cream cheese mashed potatoes. The beef was excellent. We shared the chocolate whiskey cake and the raspberry sorbet for dessert. The sorbet was the best!
Friday lunch - Beaches 'n' Cream. We had onion rings for an appetizer. They only allowed us 1 appetizer which I assume was wrong, but we didn't feel like arguing. DH had the bacon double cheeseburger and I had the chicken caesar salad. I had a banana split (sooooooooooooooooooo good) and DH had the strawberry shortcake for dessert.
Most snack credits were used on bottled waters, but we did also have a Pineapple Dole Whip, Minutemaid Frozen Lemonade, the items from the Boardwalk Bakery and Tollhouse cookiewich.
Overall, we had a great trip. I wish more places allowed bottled water with the cs meal, but that's my only complaint.
