First let me say I am sorry not to have posted before this. We returned Nov 9.
-First meal was Cape May clam bake. Best dinner we had. They had very spicy peel and eat shimp. We asked if there were any that was not spicy and within minutes we had a whole plate at our table! My DH and DG ate buckets of steamers and I enjoyed the shrimp, chicken and mashed potatoes very much. Desserts were to die for. (the meal was free because our BCV was not ready until 7pm! The manager felt bad and sent us to dinner.) It gets a 10 for service and food.

-Plaza Restaurant. I had a turkey sandwich and the other 2 got burgers along with DD. Pretty good. Not outstanding. The server was very indifferent. Did her job but no smile or much friendliness. Maybe she was having a bad day. It gets a 6. I won't rush back.

Coral Reef (lunch). Let me say that I don't care what anyone says this place is great!
I had haddock and a twice baked potato. Excellent. DG had the Bisque which she loved. DH had the Pirrahna. He wouldn't get it again because it is a bony fish and takes a lot of work. DD got the kids chicken which she loved and she is not a big eater.
DD was also picked as chef of the day and got to dress like the chef with a hat and coat. We got a table by the tank and everyone fussed over her. The chef came out of the kitchen to present her with peanut butter playdough for dessert and a certificate. This is a 10 the whole way around and I will be back!

Tusker House- OK chicken dinner and sandwiches. I will say a 6 but I will return for lack of other choices.

Beaches and Cream- Ceasar Salad was too salty for DG. She's 85 and is sensitive to salt so who knows. We ate here twice. I had a burger once and soup the second day. Both very good. The No way Jose is the best!! It gets an 8 and I will be back when I stay at the BC.

50's PTC- Good soup and turkey sandwich. DG loved her fried chicken. DH had pasta and shrimp which he said was good. No big laughs here. I have gone the last few trips and will give it a rest next time. It gets a 7.

The Cape May breakfast buffet is the BEST. The food is awesome and so is the service and character interaction. Goofy climbed over the back of the booth to sit next to DD and he drank from her cup. A little while later I noticed she wouldn't drink any milk. She said she couldnt b/c goofy put his mouth on it. The nice waitress got a new glass of milk and the manager apologized to her! We were dying! BTW Krispy Kremes ARE the best and DD ate like a grown lady. She loved the pancakes! THis is a 10 and I would go out of my way to go back.

We also ordered pizza from room service. It was huge and pretty good but too much cheese. I nearly choked!!

The Food and Wine Festival was great. Tried many things. Can't remember but Italy was good.

We won't be going back until 2005 so I will live through you until then. I am due with our second and last child in July, so we will wait until Luke or Ava is 2 years old. See ya.

Thanks so much for the reviews! The folks at Cape May Clam Bake seem very accomidating - I really want to try a meal there sooner or later.

Thanks for the reviews! The Cape may Buffett has always been one of my favorite breakfast places!

Congratulations on your new little one coming! If DD3 had been a boy I wanted to name her Luke so DH could say - "Luke, I am your father!" in his best Darth Vader voice! :)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
I am so happy for you. Children are such a blessing. Thanks for the reviews. I understand why they were late.

Samantha,

Thanks for the reviews. I have only heard good things about the Cape May breakfast buffet, and we are looking forward to trying it for the first time on our trip next month.

As far as your room service pizza experience: We had a pizza from room service during our BCV stay in September, and I was very disappointed. I am NOT a pizza bigot...In general, I like anything from the Pizza Hut/Domino's type up through the independent Ma & Pa type places. You could almost say that "I never met a pizza I didn't like." However, in this case we didn't even finish the pizza...That may be the first time that ever happened! :D

Maybe I just caught them on a (really) bad night. But for our next BCV stay, if we want a pizza I think we may try ordering from somewhere off site.

Merry Christmas to all! :earsboy:

I definately would not get the pizza from room service again either. Cape May is a priority though.

Thanks for the great reviews, Coral Reef is one of the restaurants we have been thinking of trying for quite a while but just never seem to find the time. After reading your review though we are determined to eat here on our next trip.

Thanks for the review! :) I enjoyed reading it, especially Cape May. That has always been a favorite of mine.

I would try Coral Reef at lunch. It was quiet and a bit cheaper. They had haddock as a special, but I think it should be on the regular menu because it is a "normal" fish. I am picky but do like this fish.
