Again - cast of characters - me (39) dd (14) and my friend (42)
8/17 - breakfast at the PSB at Norway - we once again checked in 15 minutes early and were seated within 5 minutes - we enjoyed this breakfast a lot (I was nervous because it seems to be a love it or hate it proposition) - we saw Mulan, Belle, Aurora, Jasmine and Snow White. All stopped at our table (though we had no little kids) and were friendly and accomodating when we asked for pictures. We loved the breakfast rolls - the fruit was fresh and cold - eggs and bacon were good - nobody tried the sausage - the buscuits were great - dd ate about 7 or 8 of them on her own! She and I didn't like the potatoes much - but my friend enjoyed them. Thought this was fun and very comparable to CRT breakfast - except that it is not in the castle. Our PS was at 10:20 so WS was opening as we got our of the breakfast - it was nice to have it to ourselves as we strolled around. My dd also did a pin trade with a cast member in Norway and he told her whenever she sees a cast member with the "mystery pin" she should trade for that - he had one, she picked it and it turned out to be a "lanyard pin" issued to cast members - cannot be bought and limited edition - so nice magic moment for her there.
Dinner - 1900 Park Fare - saw Alice, Cinderella, Prince Charming, Suzy and Perla. Buffet was good - two friends of mine joined us - one brought his partner and one brought her daughter - so seven of us for dinner. Between all of us, we tried: prime rib (excellent), pork loin with chorizo sausage (excellent), smashed sweet potato (nobody liked that - had a "weird taste"), Potato salad - okay, but a sweet- almost coleslaw like dressing, steamed broccoli & carrots - (very good), apple and walnut salad (okay, dressying was a little too "appley"). caesar salad (very good), pasta salad (okay), shrimp alfredo (excellent). I thought it odd that there was no other starchy side dish (potato, rice etc.) but the sweet potato - All the desserts were great - but the lemon merangue pie was a standout!! All characters were great and took loads of time with us.

Lunch 50's prime time cafe - Again, checked in 15 minutes early and were seated right away. I had the grilled chicken sandwich - specifically asked for no pickle - server made a big deal about it - but when the sandwich came - there was a pickle on the plate - made me cranky that they got the order wrong when I had been so specific - and because I really hate pickles - other things I don't like, I will pick off - but pickles get juice all over everything. In the end the sandwich was adequate - but the sauce (peppercorn sauce) was delicious. Both DD and friend had caesar salads with chicken - which were huge - but both agreed they were too garlicky. DD had the smores for dessert - excellent -but said they could use more chocolate - DD also had the drink with the glowing ice cube - asked for blue cube but it came with a green one - minor - but it wasn't that busy so they should have gotten it right.
Dinner - Crystal palace - Once again, checked in 15 minutes early and were seated promptly at PS time - so good. Character interaction was great - except for Eeyore - who didn't seem to want to bother to stop at our table or the one next to us. He was my DDs favorite - but at dinner Tigger proposed to her -so he is the new favorite. Server was great! She kept calling DD Mrs. Tigger - I think between the three of us, we tried a bit of everything - and it was all excellent - the smashed garlic potatoes and prime rib were stand outs though!
8/19 - lunch at Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney - DD and I had the same salads as we had at the AK one and were not disappointed - friend had a burger and said it was excellent. We walked over to Ghiradelli (sp??) for dessert - friend had mint chocolate chip ice cream cone in a waffle cone - said it was great - I had a frozen mocha - excellent, but the one in Epcot was just a tiny bit better. DD had a chocolate milkshake - I tasted it and it was heaven!!
I think that is finally it! Would be happy to answer any questions!
