Our group consisted of me, DH, and DD(18). DH is a picky eater, mostly a meat and potatoes guy. DD does not eat meat. She eats fish. We were on the dining plan.

SEASONS (THE LAND, EPCOT)
We decided not to do a TS the first day and so we only had a counter service. I had the rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes, and chocolate cake (seems I ate a lot of chocolate cake on this trip). The chicken was good as was the cake. DD had the grilled salmon which she liked very well. DH had the turkey and muenster cheese on foccacia. He said he had never had muenster cheese before and decided he liked it.

ABC COMMISARY (MGM STUDIOS)
We all had the fish and chips here. They were good.
LIBERTY TREE TAVERN (MK)
It was a big mistake choosing this place. Although I had checked with both DH and DD before making reservations, DD must have looked at the lunch menu instead of dinner. We called to get her the vegetarian plate but after we got there and she found out what the vegetarian plate was she decided she didn't want it. This meal is served family style. The meats are ham, flank steak, and turkey. The ham was the best meat. DD didn't like the salad because of the dressing. She only ate macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes and said they weren't that good. I thought the stuffing was the worst thing--tasted like Stove Top. We all enjoyed the apple cobbler dessert. The character interaction is good so if that is what you are looking for then this would be a good place. The meal is only so-so.

TUSKER HOUSE (AK)
I had the rotisserie chicken. DD had the grilled salmon. DH had the fried chicken sandwich. All were very good. The desserts here were really good. DD and DH had carrot cake and I had (as usual) chocolate cake. After seeing their carrot cake I wished I had chosen that instead.
SCI FI DINE IN (MGM)
DD said this was her favorite place. DH and I both had onion rings as an appetizer. We had originally decided to share one order but somehow he must have gotten confused and ordered it for himself as well. (He was in the backseat of the car.) The portion size of the onion rings is huge and they are very good. DD had the spinach and artichoke dip which she said was very good. I tried some and would have to agree. I had the ribs which were OK, but I like them with more sauce. DD had the shrimp penne pasta which she said was very good. I think DH had a steak (since he was in the back I didn't see him much). We all had sundaes for dessert and left there totally stuffed.

COSMIC RAY'S (MK)
I had originally planned for us to have lunch at Yorkshire County Fish & Chips on this day but it was raining all day and their seating is outside so we decided to go to MK and visit Cosmic Ray's instead. We all had burgers here. DD had the vegetarian burger. They were good and we like the toppings bar. We all had carrot cake. It is definitely not as good as the carrot cake at Tusker House, but OK.
TONY'S (MK)
I had the butternut squash soup here as an appetizer. It was excellent. DD had the fried goat cheese which she didn't like that much. I had the NY strip steak which was very good. DD had the seafood pasta. She pulled out all the clams, mussels and calamari and she said what was left was pretty good. DH had the spaghetti. From reading other posts I knew it was probably bland but figured that was something he would like and I was right. He liked it. For dessert we all had the caramelized apple cake which was excellent.

TOY STORY PIZZA PLANET (MGM)
I had originally planned to eat at the Backlot Express but DD complained there was nothing she could eat there. DD and DH had the cheese pizza. I had the veggie pizza. I would advise everyone: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! The food is awful. My pizza was cold and tasteless. The pizza comes with a salad made of wilted lettuce and two cherry tomatoes. For dessert I had a rice krispy treat. DH had an oatmeal raisin cookie and DD had a chocolate chip cookie.
HOOP-DEE-DOO REVIEW
This was our 20th anniversary and we both love the HDDR so that was our choice for our celebration. They made us get up and dance. DH hates to dance and is a very bad dancer but somehow we survived that ordeal. The food here is good but we really go here for the show. We were able to order fish in advance for DD which was salmon. She didn't eat the cooked carrots because she doesn't like them. (It would be better if she could add more vegetables to the list of things she eats.) The meal consisted of salad, corn on the cob, ribs (these were tastier than those at the Sci Fi), chicken, and strawberry shortcake. The strawberry shortcake is very good.

COSMIC RAY'S (MK)
We went back to Cosmic Ray's and everyone got the same thing except this time I switched to the chocolate cake. It was better than the carrot cake.
LE CELLIER (EPCOT)
After reading so much about this place on this board, I finally got to go there. Of course I ordered the cheese soup. It is good, very good, but I guess I had such high expectations after reading all the glowing reviews on this board that I was just a touch disappointed. The pretzel bread is also good. DD had the cheese selection which was just a little too strange for her. DH had the caesar salad. I had the fillet mignon which was excellent. I liked the maple barbeque sauce and the mashed potatoes were very tasty. DH had the NY strip which was very tender despite the fact that he had it cooked well. DD had the salmon. It was not cooked enough and she was going to just leave it but we told the server and she took it back to have it cooked more. I think this is second only to LTT as DD's least favorite restaurant. She did like her dessert (I can't remember what it was). I had the chocolate whiskey cake which was good.
Friday, May 19
PIZZAFARI (AK)
After the previous pizza, there was no way I was going to order pizza here. I had the Italian sandwich which wasn't bad. DH and DD had the cheese pizza. DH said all the pizza must be the same at WDW which to me means it must all be awful. I had the chocolate cake for dessert (what else). DH and DD had the frozen lemonade.
BOMA
This had to be my favorite of all. There were so many things I liked. The watermelon rind salad was excellent. DD and DH wouldn't even try it. DD agreed to try the African fruit salad after I told her she would like it. She did. The butternut squash soup was so good. DD had salmon (she had a lot of salmon on this trip). DH met a lot of other people who were complaining about the food but he did manage to find enough of the kids' food to keep him happy. He liked the pasta with marinara. We all enjoyed the desserts.
Saturday, May 20
ROSIE'S ALL AMERICAN CAFE (MGM)
DH had a burger. DD had a vegetarian burger. I had the chicken strips which were OK. I had the chocolate cake for dessert. DD and DH had the apple pie. It wasn't great, but wasn't bad either. It is definitely better than Toy Story Pizza Planet.
50'S PRIME TIME CAFE
This was our "last supper." We had a very nice server named Greg. He wasn't one of the ones who were in character but then we didn't want a lot of that interaction so he was great. He was a very sweet guy. Unfortunately, the man at the next table was giving him a hard time. They were on the dining plan but had a young child and didn't want to pay for the macaroni and cheese they had ordered for him. Then they complained about the cheesecake tasting like plastic so Greg got them another dessert. Anyway, after reading posts on this board, I decided I wanted the pot roast. DH had that too. It was fantastic, so tender and tasty. I would highly recommend it. DD had the salmon (big surprise). Greg asked her if she had given up red meat and she told him she had. He told her that he had pretty much given it up too. For dessert, DD and I had the dad's sundaes. They were good but I wish I had just chosen a regular sundae instead. They had caramel corn in them and not much topping. They were huge and we couldn't finish them. DH had angel food cake with fresh berries and whipped cream. He said it was good.
All in all, it was a great dining experience. With the dining plan we got to experience some restaurants we never would have experienced without it. We had been to the Sci Fi, 50's Prime Time, and HDDR before, but the others were all new to us. It was hard getting in the snacks on the plan. There was just too much food. We had brought some breakfast pastries with us so we weren't using snacks for breakfast. I had planned on 11:00 lunches and 6:00 dinners every day. If I were to do this again I think I would schedule some table service lunches and might even do a breakfast. A lot of the time we weren't all that hungry at 6, even after having lunch at 11, and we were tired. If we had our TS lunch then we could have gone back to the resort for a late CS dinner. We had such a variety of things as snacks. DH got 2 boxes of doughnuts. DD got a bag of Tostitos and a jar of cheese. When the Tostitos ran out she got another bag. That was her in-room snack for the whole time we were there. We also became Dole Whip fans. We had never tried them before. The first time DH and I tried them was when DD was back at the resort (she had to watch the finale of Grey's Anatomy). I was looking at the menu and told him I'd have a pineapple float. The woman in front said "of course you will." I told her this was our first experience with Dole Whips and she said we would love them. I almost asked her if she was on this board. When she got hers she showed it to me and said "see." DD got one later in the week. She was really upset when she had to throw away the last few bites to get on the bus back to the resort. Other snacks we had were frozen lemonade, pretzel, slice of cake, smoothies, lemonade.
