Me 31 - lover of all things Disney and swears to not be a DisneyGeek. Pretends to be an adventurous eater, but isn't. Hates when foods touch and eats with eyes too.
DD/Sweetpea 9 - lover of all things Disney as well. Not to adventurous of an eater. Doesn't like "yucky" things, but is willing to give things a try with a "polite bite".
My Best Friend, Netto 30 - first trip to WDW, and hasn't been to DL in 10 years. But willing to give Disney a chance. Also not an adventurous eater, but will eat things that are new.
In my unpacking frenzy, I misplaced the reciepts so I am going to go on memory and guesstimates. Sorry.
11/27 - Day 1 Arrival Day
We checked into the POP very early and we were in our room by 7:30am. After dropping our carryons and brushing our teeth we decided to head out to the parks but to stop off at Everything POP to eat.
Breakfast
Everything POP food court
Me - Breakfast Wrap with potatoes
Sweetpea - Bagel with 2 cream cheeses
Netto - Breakfast Wrap with potatoes
Also bought 2 mugs. (Yes there were 3 of us, but im not a big soda drinker and I dont drink coffee or things with caffiene either so its not worth it to get one for myself. But yes, i did have a few sips or two from the sweetpea's mug over the week. No flames please.)
Everything was good and tastey. Or we were just hungry from the long flight over and all. The "wraps" were basically breakfast burritos with egg, bacon and cheese in them. They were made after we ordered them and were hot. The potatoes that came with them were ok. And by the time we got to the table were a bit luke warm. I would definately get the wrap again, but the potatoes I can take them or leave them. Especially since the ketchup tasted a bit vinegary (is that a word?) Friend said she really enjoyed the wrap as well. Would order it again. Sweetpea's bagel was well, a bagel. She said it was a bit hard to bite. Not that it was hard, just hard for her to bite. Told her we should have toasted it. She didn't want it toasted though. She ate it and knowing how the sweetpea likes bagels, she'd order it again. Both mugs were filled with Coke and refilled by both of them a few times before we headed out for the day.
Approx $28
Snack
MGM ice cream cart
Sweetpea - Mickey Bar
Netto - Ice cream Sandwich
Me - Bottle Water
Everyone was happy with their choice. Sweetpea lives for Mickey Bars. Nothing special about the snacks. Sat on a bench waiting for the parade as we ate.
Approx $8
Dinner
50's Prime Time Cafe
Netto - Fried Chicken, Beer
Sweetpa and I - Split Fried Chicken, Root beer for her and Sprite for me
All - split Smores for dessert
Cousin Marie was our server. She was very nice and friendly. We told her it was our first time to the restaurant and she went easy on us. There were other tables in the area that were more loud and teased much more than ours, but we were happy with that. Cousin Marie did a great job and was not over the top. When we were served, the sweetpea and mine were split in the kitchen. It was nice that they did that for us. The dinners were yummy! We all loved the chicken. It was done perfectly and was so tastey. The mashed potatoes were to die for. Netto and I loved them, the sweetpea didn't care for the potatoes as much as we did. She lives the dressing her nana makes for her at home. The green beans were good as well. Lots of flavor and cooked just right. Sweetpea didn't want to eat hers because they looked funny. Cousin Marie gave her some hassle over that since she wanted dessert. Sweetpea gave them a polite bite in front of Cousin Marie and she said that was good enough and brought out the Smores shortly after that. YUMMY! Smores were better than I thought they would be. Very good over all. Would definately order the same thing again. All agreed. Atmosphere was adroable and everyone was extremely friendly. Liked our server a lot especially her line about "no worries tonight girls, I have the keys to dad's liquor cabinet". We plan on going back here again.
Appox $50 with tip
Side note - there was a very unruley child at the table next to us. He was about 5 or so and just not behaving. I got the idea of playing along with the servers and such, but he was just being BAD! Knocking silverware onto the floor, being rude to the server, jumping on the seats and it went on and on and his parents didnt see any probs with it. Finally his server told him to stand in the corner (she was in character, but I knew she meant it) he yelled no and started stomping around more. Ugh. There is a difference from playing off the servers and just being naughty. He was the latter. Didn't ruin anything for us though.
We also had some snacks we had brought with us in our pack throughout the day. Mostly fruit snacks, slim jims, crackers and water.
Ok need to go hit up a sale. Will give the rest of the reviews later.
