Final part to my trilogy. I am waiting to hear back on how to link these all up!
MGM - 50's Prime Time Cafe
This was the only place we ate at MGM since we spent so little time there. This was also the one sit down we've been to before but it had been 7 years so we figured we'd give it another shot. Service seem very hurried but friendly. We didn't really get any of the antics you hear about and noticed that no one else really did either. Overall the meal was decent, the theming is fun of course. We had our lunch here since we only spent a half day.
I had the Fried Chicken which I thought was just okay and a little greasy. The mashed potatoes were unmemorable.
My DH had the pot roast. He said it was excellent.
For dessert we had the smores, nothing special, just plain old smores.
EPCOT! This is where we had the BEST experiences!
France bakery- We only had one thing here, the apricot and cheese pastry, not sure what it was called. We LOVED it!
Garden Grill- We had a very delicious lunch here. This is served family style for those of you who are unfamiliar. It includes all-you-can-eat Bread with Orange Blossom Honey Butter (yum), Turkey with cranberries(ok), Southern Fried Catfish (de-lish!), Grilled Marinated Flank Steak with Mushroom Cabernet Jus (yum), Potato Gratin Casserole with Tillamook Cheddar (extra yum), Fresh Cut Green Beans & Baby Greenhouse Vegetables (very fresh and tasty), and Dessert Medley (yum but barely any room!). We loved this meal so much and the service was one of the best experiences, they are truly on top of things.
Rose and Crown Pub
We got great seating for Illuminations and this staff was wonderful. This was the only place that acknowledged our anniversary, even though I noted it when I made all ADR's (I know we could have mentioned it each time but it wasn't a big deal for us). The staff was absolutely wonderful, the food yummy, the views awesome and we got free dessert and a serenade of "All You Need is Love".
I had the fish and chips and steak which was pretty darn good.
DH had the Guinness Stew, which he loved (huge Guinness fan).
For dessert we had the sampler which had sticky toffee pudding (yum), apple crumble (just ok), and chocolate guinness cake (wow!).
Finally, our best meal (according to me) Le Cellier. People if you want to eat here make ressies!!!! We went for lunch on a Thursday (in value season). They turned away so many people and told them they were booked until Sunday.
Of course we started with the infamous Cheddar Cheese Soup and those wonderful pretzel sticks. What can I say? The hype is right, the soup and pretzel sticks are WONDERFUL!!! I can make a meal of just that.
I had the grilled petit filet mignon with cream cheese mashed potatoes. I seriously closed my eyes with each bite. The waitress said "That's Alberta beef for you." I eat filet mignon every time we go out and this was the BEST I've ever had and those cream cheese mashed potatoes are awesome.
My DH had the open face sirlion steak sandwich and this was incredible too.
The service was absolutely awesome here too.
My top recommendations for everyone are Le Cellier, Rose and Crown, Raglan Road (mostly for atmosphere), and Garden Grill. That my friends is the end of our culinary adventures, hope you enjoy!
