:) We are going to DL for the first time in July. Would ADRs be generally necessary or is it safe to just wing it? At WDW we usually make ADRs for most dinners and a couple of breakfasts due to the crowds. If ADRs are are recommended, which are some places you would do?:thumbsup2

Like Blue Bayou, I would make a reservation. We made one the day before and got in for lunch no problem. Also, at Rainforest Cafe it helps to have a reservation, though the last time we went, we walked right in because we were willing to sit outside, away from the thunder and animals.

Other than that, we have always been able to get a place to eat.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

I definitely make ADR's for atleast one meal a day!! Doesn't even have to be a character meal, but it's not like you have to put out any money and then you are guaranteed a short wait if you do decide you want to eat there!! We have done it the other way with none and ended up eating counter service the entire time which I don't really like to do!

We make ADR's for Carnation Cafe (in which a short line can take up to 45 minutes to get in). Also for Storyteller's Cafe at the Grand! That is a must do for us B, L or D and a PS is pretty important there even when it's not middle of summer!! But I don't like to wait and hour to wat, so if you don't mind waiting, then you can just wing it!!

We made reservations for Blue Bayou and Ariels Grotto in advance and are glad we did. They were booked solid and did not take walk ins. We did call while there and got into Minnies B-fast at the park.

:) Definitely book one meal per day. Even if you don't think it will busy, you just never know. I always do and many, many times they are not taking walk ups and we feel fortunate to be able to eat where we want to eat, when we want to eat. Better safe than sorry! There are several good choices for sit down meals, have a great trip

PS Just noticed you are going in July...make ressies FOR SURE!

PSS Just have to say, Chrissy, your twins are so very, very cute!
