Dining reservations online and linking?

OK Call me dumb but I can't work out how to link my DVC signin to my regular Disney sign in so I can book dining and have it all be linked...

what in the world am I missing?

I log into DVC website, click add reservations, I get the dining screen... try to book and it says it can't link once I enter my DVC confirmation #?? I'm pulling out my hair.

I have different id's as well between my disney experience and dvc. when in the my disney experience put in your dvc reservations in the my reservations. then my disney experience will have your dvc and then you can book restaurants on line or put in the confirmation #'s if done over the phone. It works out great for me and I have been able to adjust much easier because of it.

My signins are the same but it still won't link... One of those things that makes you crazy LOL

OK Finally.... I was able to link them. There was a whole other step I didn't realize I had to do.... It wouldn't let me link them the way I was trying even though it requested I enter my conf # but what you suggested above worked...
