Dining Reservations for a Split-Stay

I apologize if this has been asked recently, but does anyone have any recent experience with making their ADRs online for a split stay with the new My Disney Experience?

I had to book a RO for the first two nights of our trip in August in order to take advantage of the new discount for the remaining dates and was wondering if I am only able to make ADRs for those first few days at 180 days out, and then have to wait until 180 days out from our package stay that starts 2 days later, or can I make ADRs for up to 10 days from the arrival date of the RO even though that particular reservation is only 2 nights?

I have linked both reservations to MDE, and they both show there with me checking out and re-checking in (same resort for both reservations) on the day our package starts.

I know in the past it was hit or miss with making ADRs that spanned a split stay so was just curious if anyone has done this lately under the new system. Whether or not I have to wait and do ADRs on 2 separate occasions will help me figure out when I should try to make certain reservations.

In December I was able to make reservations for both portions of my split stay in June (well the 180 + 10, not the entire stay). However, I couldn't get all of the days to load on my laptop or on my ipad, so I had to call and talk to someone. They thought there might be issues with the reservations for the second part of the stay, but were able to put in BBB, CRT and BOG for day 190 without trouble. They just went off the reservation number from the first half of the stay to do it.
