Dining Reservations....call or website?

Which do you prefer when making dining reservations 180 days out....over the phone or thought the MDE website? And, is it 8:00 on my 180th day that I can officially begin?

I believe that if you choose to make them online, your window opens at 6:00 AM EST. If you choose to call, the line opens at 7:00 AM EST. We like to start with online, because it's earlier, and then if the website is having any technical issues, you know you need to call at 7.

Agreed, plus the dining reservations CMs have access to the same system you do, so there is really no advantage to calling.

Well I was forced to call last year for my ressies. The website completely crashed... Oh and then the website crashed for the people at Disney too. Cant make this stuff up. I was told to call back in a couple hours when their system was up and running

I have tried online in the past and never have any luck with the website acknowledging I am on the dining plan (and they want to charge me for dinner shows and CRT). I end up calling and I am always told there is some magical button on the screen I am supposed to click to state I am on the plan. I have never seen such button. I know I am the only one, or close to it because I never see anyone else on the boards with this issue

If anyone cares to screenshot and do a fancy "paint" job by circle and drawing arrows at the button, it would surely be appreciated. In 2017 there should be no reason for me to be picking up a phone!!

Website unless I want something tricky. A group of 12 to California Grill required a call. Actually, large groups in general seem to be easier with a call, but I know others disagree.

Website, for sure. It's so easy and you get an hour head start!
