Dining reservations at busy times

I keep reading that dining reservations are not needed like they are at WDW. However, we will be there the week before Easter and I know it will be crowded. Do you recommend reservations at this time of year? Are there restaurants that do not take reservations?

if you want to eat at margaritaville on a saturday night, make a ressie in advance.

open table is where you can make ressies for the parks/city walk.


doesn't hurt to make reservations if you are concerned about getting the places and times that you want.


i only make ressies during HHN time period and saturday nights at city walk.

Mythos was turning people away when we went last month. If you want to eat there I'd recommend a reservation during busy times. They only take them 3 months out.

We had no trouble eating at Mythos without a reservation on Dec 20 for lunch. We ate at Finnegans without a reservation for dinner that night. We were not able to do a walk up at Lombardis on the 21st though. We did walk up at Margaritaville that night and had a 35 minute wait.

We arrived the 19th and the parks weren't very busy until xmas. The difference in crowds from the 24 to the 25 was amazing. Xmas day at Mythos I watched them turn away 10-20 people in the 10 mins we waited for a table. We had a ressie for Finnegans also, but the place was half empty when we got there and still lots of open tables when we left. Walked into Cowfish with about a 10 min wait, but it was only 530 or so.

I would make them for your must haves. We didn't make one at CowFish and while they did manage to get us in on a Saturday evening, I think we waited about 40 minutes.

Can you make reservations for Cowfish? I tried OpenTable and it didn't let me make one.

Honestly I'm not sure how you make them but when I walked up they asked for my reservation time so there must be some way?
I think I will try calling the restaurant.

there is a "booth" at city walk where you can make reservations while you are at city walk or there for your vacation.
the TM can help or you can book yourself on the system that is set up.

maybe cowfish ressies can be made with this set up as i haven't seen it on open table yet.
