dining reservations 180 day mark for split stays

I feel like i have read conflicting info -- with a split stay do you have 2 different 180 day +10 marks? So my first 3 nights (Sat - tues) are at Poly then 4 nights (Tues-Sat) at AKV.

Should i be able to book my entire trips reservations at the 180 day mark from our first night?
will i only be able to book reservations for Saturday to Tuesday?
then at 180 days from our second resort stay i can book reservations for the remaining 4 days?

My window is coming up next week so trying to plan accordingly. I could have sworn that there are some people who have mentioned being able to book the whole trip and others not.

Any help in clarifying is appreciated!!


My last split we booked well under the 180 day mark so i didn't encounter this question.

split days have different booking windows. 180 from the start of each reservation

I have a split stay booked for April (first three nights at one resort then moving to a second resort for the last two nights). Yesterday was my 180 day mark and I was able to make reservations up through anytime during our check-out day from the first stay. All the dates after that were greyed out so I plan to be back online on Friday morning to make the ADR for the last full day of our stay.

You can make dining reservations online for the first portion of your stay. You will have to contact member services if you booked through DVC to make the reservations for the second half. They will make the reservations for you.

You can make your dining reservations yourself whether it is a DVC stay or not - have rented points 5 times. Also have done multiple split stays. You will have 2 separate dining reservation windows, one for the start of each stay. However, once you get to your 60 days out, your FP+ window will open for the entire trip. This seems to be where a lot of the confusion comes from, as the dining windows and FP windows work differently for split stays.
