Here is our Dining Overview for 9/16- 9/25 It was just DBF turned Fiancé and I and we had a great time. We ate a lot but did not feel over full and my only issue was that we were either hungry when we did not have meals planned or not hungry when we did but we made it work. We stayed at POFQ in a great room but that is for another report.

9/17 – POR Food Court – Even though we did not get in until 2:00 am we could not sleep so our sunrise walk brought us to the POR food court and the smell of maple syrup made us hungry so we split:
1 French Toast with Bacon
1 side of sausage
1 OJ
to hold us over until Chef Mickey’s at 10:40

Total Cost would have been $9.88 but we used 1 Dining credit

9/17 – Chef Mickey’s – I love this place and made this reservation kinda last minuet because I could not imagine not eating here on this trip. This was my first time for breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved Goofy’s PB&J pizza and everything else was good to. Derek tried Lox for the first time and sort of lost his appetite after that but overall it was a great breakfast.

Total Cost would have been $43.72 but we used 2 Dining credits
Service: B
Food : A-
Atmosphere: A

9/17 – Hoop De Doo – I am glad we did this as it was fun but it is not something we will do every trip. The food was good, Derek did not like the corn but the ribs and chicken were yummy and we were full by the end of the night. My biggest disappointment was the Strawberry shortcake… It was not good at all and I love my deserts so this was a let down.

Total Cost would have been $100.43 but we used 4 Dining credits (not worth the 4 in my opinion)
Service: A-
Food : A
Atmosphere: A

9/18 – POFQ Food Court – This was the start of the Mickey waffles… After having one my 33 year old Fiancé wanted nothing else for breakfast. We had:
2 Mickey Waffles with blueberries and Bacon
1 Side of sausage
1 Cup of peaches
1 Chocolate Milk
1 OJ
Total Cost would have been $22.09 but we used 2 Dining credits

9/18 – We went to Animal Kingdom that day and had lunch at Flame tree BBQ. After a day in the hot sun someplace air conditioned would have been nice but we were happy to sit down and relax. We had
2 pulled pork Sandwiches with Corn on the cob and baked beans
1 key lime pie
1 frozen lemonade
1 sprite
1 coke
The sandwiches were good but we had to add more BBQ sauce, The corn was overcooked and mushy but still good… I loved the beans and thought the pie was good but Derek did not ccare for the pie that much and we gave the frozen lemonade to a cute little girl sitting next to us who was very well behaved.

Total Cost would have been $24.65 but we used 2 Dining credits

9/18 – Ohanas – This was one of our favorite meals…. After reading these boards I was SCARED but everything here was great… We started with a lapu lapu and a pina colada… The salad was excellent and nice a light, I loved the chicken wings and Derek loved the shrimp. We ate so much Derek had maybe 1 steak tip I tried all 4 and the were good but the pork was a little dry and the chicken was blackened but it did not take away from the meal at all. I was most worried about the desert because I had really wanted the pineapple and the bread pudding scared my but it was AWESOME.. Our servers were great.. it was just a great meal… If you are thinking about trying this place I say go for it.. it was well worth it!!!

Total Cost would have been $60.73 but we used 2 Dining credits
We did pay $23.16 for our drinks and left an extra $6.00 tip

Food : A+
Atmosphere: B

9/19- We were running a little behind as we were doing keys to the kingdom and had to be at the park for 9:15 so were decided to skip the food court and grab something in the park… This worked out well as we got to see the rope drop and ran to the bakery and has a breakfast to die for. We had:
1 Cinnamon roll
1 French toast loaf
2 yogurt parfaits
3 OJ’s
to our surprise they did not charge us for the extra oj and as you will see through out the report there were many times where we got something extra that we expected to pay for but it was rolled into our dining plan.

I do not know what the cost was but we used 2 credits and I have to say I will stop in here again in a heart beat!!![/B]

9/19 – While on the keys to the kingdom tour they give you lunch from Colombian harbor house. I had the chicken strips with fries which were good and Derek had the Tuna sandwich… he did not like the whole grain bread but said it was not bad.

9/19 – Liberty Tree Tavern – I have to say this was our worst meal of the trip. All of the food was dry except the stuffing which was soupy. Derek did not mind the salad and I loved the cobbler but the dinner was just bleak. The character interaction was good but the thought that we would have paid the same to eat here that we did for Ohana’s made me glad I was on the free dining plan.

Total Cost would have been $60.73 but we used 2 Dining credits

9/19 – After all the talk on this boards we split a dole whip float around 3:00 which was wonderful and I have a Mint Choc chip cookie Sandwich from the bakery while watching the parade (WARNING: These are REALLY MESSY) Derek also got a strawberry smoothie and a cookie

9/20 – Wispering Canyon Café – We had breakfast here and the food was good… there gas when down so it took a wile for Derek’s French toast to come out. I got the skillet and our waitress was nice enough to bring out the skillet and 2 plates and told us to share. So we had:
1Breakfast skillet
1 French Toast
1 OJ
1 Chocolate Milk
Not sure what the total cost would have been but we used 2 Dining credits
Service: A
Food : B
Atmosphere: B-

We went to Tamp to watch the red soxs beat Tampa so that was it for dining for the day unless you want to hear about our beer and hot dog at the game.

9/21 – POFQ Food court – Not sure why but I was a little worried about our counter service credits so I decided I would get a kids meal and pay and just use 1 CS credit for Derek. Well he heard me wrong and paid for his meal to so this is what we got:

1 kids Chocolate Chip pancakes with sausage
6 Beigets (only wanted tot ry them but did not see I could get 3)
1 Mickey waffle with sausage
1 Side of Bacon
1 Banana
Total Cost was $19.76

9/21 – Cinderella’s Royal table – This was Derek’s overall favorite meal. The food was good, the service was good, the atmosphere was nice. We saw Cinderella in the lobby before we went up and it was a nice night overall. We had:
Caesar Salad
Shrimp & Mussels
Lamb Shank (Me)

Tuna Steak (Derek)
38747S4010371.JPG

Key Lime Crème Brule
38747S4010373-med.JPG

Slipper
38747S4010372-med.JPG

Coke
Diet Coke
We wore our wedding ears (I know we were a little early but I have wanted those ears since I was 10 and since we got engaged I figured we could get away with it) They gave us free champagne glasses which was very nice of them!!!
Total Cost would have been $111.03 but we used 2 Dining credits
Service: A
Food : A
Atmosphere: A+

9/22 – POFQ Food Court – Can you guess what we had for breakfast?
Mickey Waffle with Bacon
Side Sausage
Peaches
Breakfast Platter (Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Biscuits)
Grapes
OJ
Chocolate Milk
Total Cost would have been $20.39 but we used 2 Dining credits

9/22 – Sci Fi Drive in - We were starving at lunch time so we were able to walk into the Sci Fi and sit down. We have dinner reservations at the LeCellier at 7:00 so we knew we had to eat light so we split:
Onion rings
38747S4010349-med.JPG

Ribs and Fries
Cookie Shake
Coke
And we gave our neighbors our desert. Overall this place was not bad… they split our meal for us and we were not hungry when we left. Our waitress seemed perturbed that we were splitting but we tipped her as if we had both eaten.
Total Cost would have been $60.65 but we used 1 Dining credit
We left an extra $5.00 tip
Service: B
Food : B
Atmosphere: B- (only because the kid in the seat in front of us kept turning around and staring at us and putting his hand in my milk shake)

9/22 – LeCellier - I have to say the girls greeting guests were great… they were so nice and friendly.. they asked about our congratulations buttons and then played LeCellier trivia with us… they were super friendly and really got the night started off right. Our waitress.. well that was another story… I am sure she was just extra busy but it took her a good 5 mins to ask us if we wanted drinks and another 10 to get them and bread. We each got a martini I got a berries and cream and Derek had a Chocolate one and they both tasted like milk. She said she would get us new ones and never did. As for the food it lived up to it’s reputation… we had:
Mussels Appetizer
Beef Tenderloin Appetizer
38747S4010387-med.JPG

Cheddar Cheese Soup
Filet with Maple BBQ Sauce
Prime Rib
Maple Crème Brule
Apple Cobbler
Coke/ Diet Coke

The beef tenderloin App was the most tender beef I have ever had and I loved the mashed potatoes that came with my Filet… Derek loved every bit of his meal and we both agree that this was the best food we had the whole trip. We ordered the soup to try it and it was good.. we said we would pay for it but it went under our dining plan. Our waitress also brought us out a special congratulations desert which was a chocolate cup with chocolate moose in it and chocolate shavings all around…..

it was a sweet gesture but she was truly the worst server we had all week.
Total Cost would have been $110.52 but we used 2 Dining credits
Service: D
Food : A+
Atmosphere: A (thanks to the greeters)

9/23 – POFQ Food court….

You guessed it.. another Mickey waffle with Bacon for Derek 1 Cinnamon Bun
Grapes
Peaches
Side of Sausage
Choc Milk
OJ
Total Cost would have been $21.22 but we used 2 Dining credits

We spent the day in Daytona and had a great dinner at Aunt Catfishes.. if you want more info just ask

9/24– POFQ Food court….

2 Mickey waffles with Bacon 1 with strawberries
Grapes
Peaches
Side of Sausage
Choc Milk
OJ
Total Cost would have been $23.25 but we used 2 Dining credits

9/24 – Mamma Melrose Fantasmic Package – Holly was our server and she was by far the best… she was funny but not corny, attentive yet not overbearing, just an all around great server and we told the manager that. We debated if we wanted the fantasmic package and in the end decided to get it.. not that we needed it for the seats but the place was pretty full so we figured we would do it. We had:
Salad
4 Cheese Flat Bread
Chix Parm
38747S4010534-med.JPG

Fra Diavolo
38747S4010535-med.JPG

Warm Chocolate Truffle Cake
Tiramisu
38747S4010536-med.JPG

So the food was OK.. the pasta was way undercooked and the truffle cake was horrible kinda like a burnt brownie but Holly made up for it she was great… at the end she asked about our congratulations buttons and we told her we had just gotten engaged… she was so excited for us and said she was going to do something special… she took 50% off of our bill which was a nice gesture but since we were on the dining plan… we were still greatfull.. when she remembered she took the check back again and only charged us 1 credit…. Did I mention how great she was!!! Any way…
Total Cost would have been $77.93 but we used 1 Dining credits
We also left $20.00 to pay for our drinks and the extra tip
Service: A+++++++
Food : B-
Atmosphere: A

We went to fantasmic and got a beer, a diet coke and a cotton candy as Derek had been like a little kid all week eyeing them.

9/25 – Boatwrights - For our final meal and since we had 2 table service credits left we went to boatwrights for breakfast… The food was good and next time we will share but we had
Fruit cup
Strawberries and Cream
2 Stuffed French toast
2 OJ’s
I Loved the strawberries and cream and the toast was outstanding… the fruit cup was a lot of honey dew and cantaloupe and Derek wanted to trade but I said nope!!
Total Cost would have been $42.45 but we used 2 Dining credits
Service: A-
Food : A+
Atmosphere: B

That was about it for our dining experience.. We came home with 5 counter service meals left and we were going to give them to someone but everyone we asked was on the plan. For our snacks we had 2 Waters, 3 Cokes,. 2 Diet Cokes, 1 Cotton Candy, 1 Mickey Bar, 1 Cookie sandwich, 6 rice kipsie treats and 1 mint choc chip ice cream cup

Over all we would have spent around $900.00 on food so I would definitely go with the dining plan again in a heartbeat.. it made spending dining money so much easier… we loved it!!!
