DH and I aren't too fancy and neither are our dining choices, but we did try new things this trip thanks to the DIS

11/28-dinner at Plaza Restaurant-I am on Weight Watchers and started the trip trying to be good so I ordered the chicken and pear salad. It was all right, but the cheese didn't mesh well with the chicken and pears.
DH had the cheesesteak sandwich and said it was his favorite meal of the week. The kids had hot dogs and grilled cheese, both of which disappeared quickly.

11/29-lunch-ordered Flipper's pizza for delivery, I thought it was very good or I wouldn't bother mentioning it here since it was off-property at my parents' place.

dinner-Cinderella's Gala Feast-I have to admit I would have been happy just eating a roll and strawberry soup, but I also had the chicken marsala and green beans. The kids had mac and cheese and strawberry soup after sampling mine. Let's face it, they were just hanging in there to see Cindy & co. The chocolate chip cookies were a big hit as was the cheesecake. Overall, the food was good but nothing to rave about-I don't mind, the kids saw Cinderella and I saw the GF all decorated for Christmas.
11/30-lunch Flame Tree BBQ-a pulled pork sandwich for DH and a chicken one for me. They were OK, but on the dry side. The beans were more sauce than beans, but still edible. We got vouchers and I finally broke down and got a Mickey bar. Yum! (the kids' hot dogs disappeared quickly again)

dinner-Boma-I loved the Fufu and the potatoes with Afritude best, I didn't pay attention to what DH was eating. My sister the vegetarian thought this was our best meal, and they were nice enough to bring out a little Mickey-head shaped cake for BIL's birthday. I finally got my Zebra dome, and I liked the banana bread pudding too. I'm glad I tried Boma (we were staying at AKL), but want to try other resort dining on our next trip.

12/01-breakfast PSB at Epcot-very good cinnamon rolls and decent eggs and bacon. DH and my Dad liked the sausage and the kids just wanted the fruit and rolls. Again, not superior food, but the girls had a blast with the princesses (Belle, Aurora, Jasmine, Snow White, & Mulan) while my sonhid under the table.

lunch-Mara-we just grabbed sandwiches to go on our way to the MK, nothing fancy-but better than some food court fare we've had on earlier trips.

dinner-pizza from Mara which was OK, but not as good as Flipper's.

12/02-breakfast-AKL room service-I just had to try some banana stuffed French toast and split it with DH. Again, it was good but I still want to try it at Kona on another trip. The kids split some pancakes-one order was plenty for them.

lunch-Pecos Bill's-as others have mentioned, this is very good counter service. Dh had a cheeseburger with lots from the fixin's bar. I had a chicken wrap (don't want to think about how many points the dressing was). I liked the grilled chicken strips for the kids' meals, but my girls weren't too impressed. They snacked on carrots later in the day. My son devoured his hot dog and the girls wished they had ordered one.

dinner-snacking around the world at Epcot.-we tried pretzel bread in Canada, croissants in France, and brats in Germany before we called it a night and said we would return the following evening for more. I liked the pretzel bread the best, but I'm sorry I missed the Beavertails.

12/03-lunch-Epcot and more snacking-this time we had eggrolls in china, rice cream from Norway, fresh fruit from the Outback, and nachos in Mexico that Dh wanted, then wasn't very impressed by, and later we tried crepes in France (hey-we're on vacation) the egg rolls tasted no different from what we can get here, I was the only one excited about the rice cream and everyone loved the crepes.

Any ?'s-just ask! We had a good trip and ate very well. I'm so proud of us for branching out from Cosmic Ray' snd Tusker house, though I still highly recommend them!

Thanks for the dining report. I also enjoy Boma's. Susan
