Hi everyone! I've been lurking here for a few months now but this is my first post :cheer2: d
My husband and I are visiting the World at the end of September to celebrate our 5th anniversary so we want to make this trip special. We have tickets to see La Nouba on Tuesday 9/30 at the 6:30pm show and would like some recommendations for dinner after the show. We are also on the deluxe dining plan. Should we stay in DTD for dinner? Any recommendations there? My parents have raved about Cap'n Jacks but it's been a while since they were there and I'm not sure from the reviews I've read how well the place has held up over time! I was thinking maybe heading over to Epcot to eat at one of the many restaurants there or at Boardwalk. We already have ADRs for Chefs de France, California Grill, Kona Cafe, Mama Melrose's, Narcoossee's, The Wave and Yak and Yeti and I'd like to experience as much variety as possible.
Thanks for the help! :flower3:

Oh, and my husband tried to get an ADR at Le Cellier but it's apparently booked during dinner-time for the length of our stay.

I can't really recommend it since we have not been there yet, but we have an ADR for Raglan Road!

Wolfgang Puck's Cafe has been consistently good. Fulton's is sometimes great, sometimes mediocre. Raglan Road has become terrible and we will never go back (okay, maybe for a dessert) but even the bathrooms are gross. Portabello's has been good but the menu has changed quite a bit.
Forget the Cuban place whose name escapes me...Bongo's..not real Cuban food in our estimation. HOB was not so hot but we ate there very late one night. Sorry we sound so critical of some as everyone's taste is different but those are our takes. Earl of Sandwich is great if you can get near the counter.

Fulton's would be a great choice EXCEPT THEY ARE NOT ON THE DINING PLAN. We have not tried any of the other restaurants at Downtown Disney since we did Wolfgang's when it first opened--I wasn't impressed, although DH loved it. We do not like Rainforest Cafe or Planet Hollywood at all--we have them in Chicago and the food is medicore and overpriced. We had hoped to try Raglan Road this year, but couldn't fit it in (we are doing Fulton's for our 25th anniversary and paying out of pocket).

Wolfgang Puck all the way.

It is a must eat for us when we go!

Oh, and Happy Anniversary!

On the dining plan if you want a sit down table service meal, your options are:

- Wolfgang Puck Cafe
- Raglan Road
- Cap n' Jacks
- Planet Hollywood

Those are also in the order of my suggestion.

We would go with Wolfgang Puck Cafe!

If you decide to head over to Boardwalk... I would definately suggest Flying Fish Cafe (this is a signature 2TS location)

Enjoy your dinner no matter where you choose!:wizard:

We did Wolfgang Puck Cafe after La Nouba about 4 yrs ago, so this info may be dated, but we were unable to make a ressie (they don't take them, or didn't at the time), so we just went right after the show. It was horrible. We were told say 30 minutes, which was 'okay' for us to wait, but it was a scam...we waited 30 minutes plus at least another 30 minutes AT LEAST. We were starving too. When we finally got seated after being irritated, I ordered a margherita pizza and it was just pretty bland and very soggy. And I am NOT that picky. Not at all my idea of a good time. I think there is just a mass group of people hording this restaurant after the show...if you have the time and inclination, I would go somewhere off DTD...you will probably be eating before those standing around in Wolfgang Puck's...again, tho, this is dated info..maybe somebody has had better experience. We went during off season probably around late Oct, early Nov...FYI and good luck!

I would suggest House of Blues (right close to Cirque) or Rainforest Cafe. HoB was awesome!!! We love eating there!! Everything we had was wonderful!! Rainforest Cafe is always a favorite with our family! We love the whole atmosphere and the food, but the wait will kill ya!!!

Welcome to the Dis, glad you decided to post.. I have eaten at Raglan Road and I like it there. I have also done Earl of Sandwich, wow, that place was wild the day we were there.. people standing in line to get tables etc... very fast paced.. not sure I would do that again unless I went at an off time...not lunch time.

Wow! Thanks for all the responses! I'm thinking we probably won't do Rainforest Cafe, we have one in the Detroit area where we live and the food is just not that great IMO. Wofgang Puck Cafe seems pretty inconsistent with the food and service too. We might go over to Epcot or Boardwalk for something. It seems like the restaurants in DTD are just not as good as they could be, huh?

Raglan Road has fantastic food and a terrific atmosphere! I highly recommend this one for a special evening.

House of Blues is a little more laid back and the food is good here too.

This is such a hard decision! I'm now leaning towards Raglan Road. You can't keep an Irish girl away from her Guinness  Am I correct to assume they have it on tap there? If they do then I believe I have made my decision!

They definitely have Guinness on tap as well as great Irish hard Cider (Try a cider and black). Also, the entertainment is amazing!!!

The food is also great, but dont expect normal pub food... it is more like pub food on fine dining steroids... to die for!!!
