Hey everyone, planning a DLR vacation and want to start planning my dining. I am a HUGE foodie and cannot wait to try as much as a I can. I do know vaguely about most of the good DLR specialities, but I would love to know any tips for an intense foodie! I love "fancy and upscale" food, but I also love a plain burger and fries. I'll eat anything. I do know I want to try a DLR corndog and the fried biscuits at Carthay Circle. I would also love to try Napa Rose and Steakhouse 55. I know about the Mickey Beignets & Monte Cristo at Cafe Orleans, the Fried Chicken at Plaza Inn, Lobster Nachos at Cove Bar but I would love to hear from everyone some tips and their favorites, thanks everyone.

my husband loves the hotlink corndogs from corn dog castle. and a word of advice- if you're getting a corn dog at dland, go to the stage door cafe instead of the red wagon- the line is almost always shorter and it's a little cheaper too.
the churro popcorn will change your life. but you can only find it in the shops, i've never seen it at the stands/carts.
fried pickles at carnation cafe- might sound weird, but so yummy.
i really like the chicken fusilli at pizza port.
if you like sea food, the lobster roll and clam chowder are really good! you can find them both at harbor galley, and the clam chowder is also available at royal st. veranda and pacific wharf cafe in dca.
i had the chili lime corn on the cob recently for the first time and i was bomb-dot-com
bengal barbecue is really good. they have chicken, beef, and veggie skewers. the portions are small, but it's a good snack. and their pomegranate lemonade is amazing!
and if you plan on getting a dole whip, get in the line on the tiki room side- it's way shorter!

Honestly sounds like you're planning for all the right stuff. My wife and I are foodies too. We will be there for a long weekend in August and are doing:

Napa Rose - Chef's Table (which you need to schedule in advance but is supposed to be awesome for foodies)
Cathay Circle - The biscuits are every bit as good as they say; also, they have amazing cocktails
Blue Bayou - Food isn't as good as the other two but the ambiance is second to none and if you keep it simple there you can't go wrong

We also love the Disneyland corndogs and the Dole Whips over in Adventure land. Man, that corndog is as good as it gets.

The corn dogs seriously look insane...They make me salivate...The Dole Whips at WDW are incredible, I heard they're even better at DLR...Can't wait. If you could, could you let me know how Chef's table at Napa Rose is? And it's $150 correct? The changing menu there just looks awesome. THanks!

That all sounds incredible. I did hear about Bengal BBQ and their veggie skewers. I LOVE fried pickles, so that doesn't sound weird at all! Where was the chili lime corn? That sounds incredible. Thanks for the tips, specifically the dole whip time saver!

You've got a great list so far and lots of good suggestions! Don't forget to order the pomme frites at Cafe Orleans- it's my favorite thing to eat there. I prefer the beignets at Ralph Brennan's in DTD. Coffee and a bag of beignets on the way to the parks is my family's favorite breakfast. We also really like Carnation Cafe - the fried pickles and cherry malt are so good.

i think there are a few spots you can find corn. i know for sure there's a stand next to thunder mountain where they also sell turkey legs and i think there's one near the matterhorn also. in dca, there's a stand in paradise pier near toy story.

Just as everyone has already said, the ultimate foodie experience is definitely the Chef's Counter at Napa Rose. We're already booked for September. :)

You have some great plans already! You can't beat Carthay circle and Napa Rose.

I'd add in: Dole whip Float at the tiki room, Trader's Sam's appetizers and tiki drinks, the mango slices with tajin spice at the fruit cart near jungle cruise, paradise garden grill mediterranean food in DCA (nice to have a counter service meal that is tasty and healthy). The cozy cones have unique items and the Red apple freeze drink there is amazing. The matterhorn macaroon at Jolly Holiday is pretty great, too. For DTD, Catal is quite good. High quality, seasonal ingredients. We usually get the Paella and artisanal cocktails.

I would recommend the Red Beans and Rice at the French Market restaurant in New Orleans Square. I think it is one the yummiest dishes.

We just got back from a week and we had a hard time fitting in all the food we wanted to try! And I'm allergic to fish and shellfish so that rules out some items/places right off the top. One of my favorites this trip that I never tried before was the chicken skewer back at Paradise Grill I think it is. Comes with rice, veggies, and naan (or was it pita?) bread. Another new favorite I never had before was the sour dough burger at Carnation Cafe. It was really good! At Storybook Cafe we went at 4:30 to order off the cheaper lunch menu but still called it dinner. We split an appetizer and an entree.

Are the Mickey Beignets still a good option? And the pomme frittes look incredible..
