Hello,
Having recently moved to Europe (so the cost of a transatlantic flight no longer plays into going to DLP) we are about to book our first trip to DisneyParis (going a Sunday to Wednesday in mid May--hoping for light crowds then).
Please forgive me, I am sure the answers to my questions are here somewhere if I could ever get the hang of search on the DIS--but alas I cannot.

So my questions are:

1. How do I go about prebooking dining for DLP? (I assume we will need to do so--we alwasy do for WDW--usually as soon as we can--this trip is very last minute for me:lmao: )

2. What do you recomend as far as places to eat on sight? We are a family of four with kids ages 10 and 12 (10 year old is very picky:sad2: ) We tend to do a sit down for lunch and then snack our way through counter service for dinner. For those of you who visit many parks to give you an idea of what we like elsewhere some of our favourite places are:
Blue Bayou at Disneyland
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Garden Grill
Yak and Yeti
Marakesh (in Morrocco)

Thanks:goodvibes

DLP has the Blue Lagoon in POTC similar to Blue Bayou, but it doesn't get very good reviews as service can be very slow!

I can't think of a DLRP similar to WCC, but The Steak House in the Disney Village, has a great atmosphere with similar food.

The Agrabah cafe in Adventureland is probably the closest you'll get to Marrakech type food.

I know you didn;t mention that you like Chef Mickeys at WDW, but Cafe Mickey really is great fun, and should be great for fussier eaters!

You don't need to pre book for DLP like WDW, if you are really set on eating somewhere then give them a call like 2 weeks before you go, but for my recent trip I just asked the hotel concierge or popped into the restaurant I wanted earlier in the day. :)

Thanks for the advice.:thumbsup2

It is nice to know that we do not have to prebook. I am usually huge on planning ahead--but I feel like I do not know enough to plan this one so if we can just pick as we go that day that will be great.

I will definately look at Cafe Mickey (we do like Chef Mickeys). I was not necessairly meaning we want to eat at similar places--only trying to give people a feel for what we tend to like.
Thank

As you are there from Sunday to Wednesday I would do it the other way around.

You have free breakfast in your hotel and then I would only have a snack for Lunch and go to a sit-down Restaurant for Dinner.

The park will close at 7pm in May (Except for Sunday) and so you can have your dinner outside the park in one of the great hotel restaurants or in the Disney Village.
This way you save a lot of precious Park time and as you have a free breakfast you are not that hungry for lunch.

On Sunday when the park is open until 9pm I would have an early dinner in the Park. In the Park I would recommend Walt's or Blue Lagoon.

Oh thanks for that info. I hadn't looked at park hours to see they were closing so early (kind of nice to not have to feel guilty about turning in at a reasonable hour though;) )

What is Walt's like?

Walt's is my personal favourite.

The restaurant has 5 rooms (like the number of lands in the Disneylandpark) If you have a table in Discoveryland, Mainstreet or Frontierland you can have a table with view to Mainstreet.

I just love to explore the whole restaurant because there are so many things to discover just like in the park.

Here are some pictures:

I second walts, it's lovely!! :)

Also, the california grill is my favourite restaurant I have ever eaten in!! I didn't see the kids menu though..
