I took my wife to Steakhouse 55 last tuesday evening at 7:30
When we got there they did not have the reservation.
When they learned I booked through "Disney Dining" she said, "Well that explains it" with a huf. So there may be some issues there.
They had us sit for only about 5 minutes then took us to our table.
The resturant was very nice/fancy. There were some people dressed up but most were resort casual (Like us)
This being one of the first Disney meals we had, I was sure this was going to be the 1 special treat for us, and worth the price.
Well, That is true, but for other reasons.
I had the Porterhouse and my wife had the Prix Fix.
Prix Fix comes with a salade, small steak, smashed potatoes, and a seasonal tart ala mode. (Peal/Blackberry that night)
Porterhouse $28 (Great, almost no bone, but little seasoning and no steak sauce)
Mushroom side $8.00 (Yummy)
Wedge salade $8.00 (Very good)
Prix Fix $29
Sodas were about $2.79 I believe, and yes they are free refills.
I shared my wifes desert.
Total was about $79 then $91 after tip.
The next day we went next door to Goofys Kitchen for dinner at around 5:30
The price for my parents, wife and myself (our 2 year old twins ate free) was $179
This did NOT include the picture they sell you. (I recall these being included at DisneyWorld) The picture was another $30
It was ok, but I couldn't stop thinking that for the money, we should be next door at Steakhouse 55 again.
We also did the Blue Bayou for lunch one afternoon.
Average entree there was $30
