Dining Questions on Popularity and also Illuminations Timing

I'm getting close to our 180 days out date and trying to get things in order. We are going December 15th thru December 21st.

One request my group is making is to attempt to get Rose & Crown late enough to be able to sit outside and be there for Illuminations. For the life of me, I can't remember for say a 9:00 Illuminations (which I'm guessing will be the time during that period), what time to make an ADR for. And then what time to be showing up to said ADR to make the patio request.

Then there is order for making the ADRs or perhaps pushing off the more difficult ones to closer to the end of the trip. Here is what we're currently looking at:

Be Our Guest - Lunch for 8
Germany - Lunch for 8
'ohana's - Dinner for 2
Rose & Crown - Dinner for 8 (late enough for patio Illuminations viewing)
Sci-Fi Dine-In - Lunch for 8

My guess would be this order for most difficult to least:
Rose & Crown
Be Our Guest
'ohana's
Sci-Fi Dine-In
Germany

I can definitely advise that Germany should be good to go last. I never book for big parties except for Biergarten as my local Disney groups goes about once every three months. We have no problems snagging large tables there with short notice.

Keep in mind that while you can request to sit outside at the Rose and Crown, there is no guarantee you will be seated outside. And they no longer let your wait for a table outside to open up if they have a different one ready for you.

Illuminations will be at 9:30 during your trip. It gets pushed back when Candlelight Processional is happening.

I ended up getting a 7:50pm ADR for Rose & Crown. Assuming we manage an outdoor table, is it reasonable to think we'd be there for Illuminations @ 9:30pm?

I think so. I have yet to be seated at the Rose and Crown on time. I think you will be just fine.
