I am cruiseing with my 15 year old daughter, on a 3 day Wonder. We booked late and could not get early seating. :sad2: I have asked to be put on early dining wait list, but don't know how successful I'll be. We usually eat early at home, usually before 6:00, so am wondering how unhappy I'll be with this. In some ways, I'm thinking a later dinner seating would give us more time to enjoy our day. :confused3 I am also wondering if the early seating gives you enough time between meals? :confused3 Just wondering what your thoughts are on this. Thanks in advance. :flower:

My thoughts are to "STICK with the late"..You are right, in my opinion, that early does not give you as much time to enjoy the day, especially on port days...There is no need to Rush when you have the late..I love the late..We have gotten used to it, and we love it..We also usually have eaten by 5 or 5:30, but we snack so much during the day, that even if we are hungry, we order something from room service..

HTH :goodvibes

Went back and forth about this, did much reading here and the majority of those who have cruised before seem to prefer late seating. Since it's our first cruise, I took the advice of all those experienced DIS cruisers and chose late seating.

Our kids' are younger than yours' but we usually eat about 7:30 at home, so hopefully this will work out ok

For the 3 day cruise you'll probably want to see all 3 restaurants (although I think the whole rotational dining thing is a bit overrated - fun, but overrated), especially AP, but you could substitute sit-down dinner at BBB (if offered on the Wonder - it is on the Magic) for Tritons or Parrot Cay (go to those restaurants for breakfast or lunch) and be able to eat whenever you want. I found sit-down dinners at Topsiders on the Magic to be surprisingly good with even better service/seating than in the main restaurants.

We, too, are early eaters, and have been assigned the late seating on each of our Disney cruises. But we were successful at changing our assignment each cruise after boarding. Ask at check in and you will be told where to go on board to request the change.
