Is there an age limit on kid's meals at sit down restaraunts (specifically Blue Bayou)? My dd is 16, but doesn't eat much and is pretty picky at that. I think she'd prefer one of the kid's choices. Will they let her order from the kid's menu or is she too old?

She should be able to order from the kid menu at any restaurant. At Ariel's she would be expected to pay the adult price but I am pretty sure they would let her have the kid meal. At Goofy's Kitchen it is a buffet so you can get just a plate of desserts, meat or veggies if that is you thing. They had lots of kid foods there.

I say "should" as Disney policy can change on a whim, lol.

We were at Blue Bayou a few weeks ago and had kids ages 13, 14, two 16, 18. There were not many entree choices but they all found something they enjoyed eating. I don't recall if there was a separate kids menu but I know there was a kids drink (with a light-up Tinkerbell straw decoration). One of them is a vegetarian and two of them are rather picky. I didn't hear any grumbling or complaining from any of them and everyone enjoyed the dinner.

When you make PS ressies, maybe they can tell you if there is a kids menu and if there is an age limit.

I'm pretty sure you can get a kids meal at any age, I've read many trip reports of people saying that they got the kids meal.

DD12 orders off the kids' menus at most places and occassionally so do I. Your DD will fine but keep in mind that at character meals they charge by age not by the meal ordered so you will have to pay full prices for her. :)

Sorry, I wanted to add that when we ate at CO they asked the ages of our kids (we didn't have PS) but we asked the server if DD12 could order off the kids menu as there really wasn't anything she wanted from the regular menu. We were told that yes, she could order from either menu, that anyone could actually but that if the kids portions weren't big enough we could double the price and have double the food. We didn't need to do that, the standard kids meal was just perfect for DD12.

Thanks so much for the replies! We downloaded the Iphone app that has the menus for each of the parks, she is not a fan of seafood so that's why I was looking at the kid's menu for her, they offer a plain steak. I will ask about the age limit when I make the ps, thanks for the suggestion! :thumbsup2 SO excited for June! Just can't wait!

FYI the PS people aren't in the parks, let alone the restaurants, so unfortunately they don't *really* know policies. It's rotten that they don't, but it is what it is.

My son and I ate at BB a couple years ago when he was 10 and he had to order from the regular menu, they said he was too old for the kids menu. It was ok, we did the split plate charge and ordered the MC. We each had a salad and the sides and half of the sandwich. It worked for us.
