Dining Question...

I have my first DVC trip scheduled for Feb. I was just wondering if anybody knows when the 2007 dining plan will be available? Im only a couple weeks out till the 180 day mark to make ressies at the restaurants. Any input would be appreciated. Also could I make a ressie at say CRT at 180 days with cash and then switch to the DDP? Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure what you mean about when the 2007 dining plan will be available. If you mean the Disney Dining Plan, as it is currently being offered, you can add it to your February trip right now. I have it connected to my reservations for March '07.

If you need to hold a reservation with a credit card, you need to comply, even if you are planning on using the DDP for that restaurant. That is what we had to do for a our trip in May when we made reservations for the Ashkerhus (sp?) character dinner. They would only charge our credit card if we didn't show up. There was no problem paying for the meal with the DDP. Be sure that the restaurants you are planning to eat at do take the DDP, however.

That's interesting, because it's the second reference I've seen to a 2007 dining plan...which I did not think was announced yet.

How much is it?

Are there any big changes? I saw a post that said Le Chefs de France was off -- anything else major?

The dining plan is being offered for 2007, I know because we booked it for our late Dec/Jan New Years trip. What they do not know, at the present, is what the cost is going to be.

All the person I spoke with at MS said was that she didn't know if the cost would be changing, because I asked point blank. She said that they hadn't been told that the price was going to change, but no guarantees.

I just booked a trip this a.m. at the BWV using points for January and the girl said I would have to call back to add the dining plan.
