For a 4 night cruise, is the restaurant that you dine at twice just randomly assigned? It seems like on the Wish that Marvel would be the least desirable one to have repeated. Can that be changed if you’re assigned it twice?

Also, are dining reservations (such as Palo) able to be cancelled without penalty?

Thanks!

For a 4-night cruise, you will be in one restaurant for both its "standard" dinner and for Pirate Night. You can make a request in advance for a rotation that does not put you in Marvel twice, but it will not be guaranteed. Changing rotations once you are onboard is possible but less likely, so if you have a strong preference you should contact DCL (or have your travel agent contact DCL) before your cruise.

Palo reservations must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a penalty.

You will have one of the dining rooms a fourth time, but it will typically be the Pirates menu, not the normal menu/show.
I'm sure you could request a change, if you wanted.

It's been a while (a long while) but the repeated restaurant is on pirate night and it's random. All the restaurants typically serve the same meal.

I think Palo is a 24 hour cancellation?

To echo others, it won't really matter which restaurant you're in twice because on the repeat night, the same special menu is served in all restaurants. However, if you do have a preference of which restaurant you want to be in twice, call DCL before your cruise to make that request.

It's not exactly "random" -- there is a rotation, and every guest on your rotation will go to the same MDR each night along with your assigned serving staff (you'll have the same servers every night). With 3 MDRs obviously 1 will be repeated on a 4-night cruise. I think the Wish rotation repeats on night 3, so the options are:
1923, Marvel, Marvel, Arendelle
Marvel, Arendelle, Arendelle, 1923
Arendelle, 1923, 1923, Marvel

As others have mentioned, the menu will be different for one of the repeat nights. However, I guess it all depends on your reason for not wanting Marvel twice -- if it's the decor/atmosphere, etc., not having the same menu will be a moot point. You can request a rotation in advance, it's only a request and not guaranteed, but I suggest doing so now rather than waiting until you are onboard. Once onboard they may be very limited in what changes can be made based on how full is that cruise.

Alternatives to the MDR are booking one of the adult-dining venues (extra cost), or the quick-service locations near the pool (check the hours), or ordering room service.
