Hoping someone can answer this question for me! :) :)

I just put a hold on reservations for our first ever Disney Cruise! We're going to be celebrating my parents' 50th wedding anniversary in December and will be traveling with them, my sister's family of 5 and my family of 5, for a total of 12 people.

We'd like to have all sit together at the evening meals. The CM I spoke to said that the largest table is for 8, and that she's not sure if they can put two tables of 6 together. We could certainly have the tables right next to each other, but that won't be the same as all being at the same table.

Does DCL accomodate this request?

DCL will be more than happy to accomodate you. We had our dining ressies linked and there was no problem. For our group of 16 they put 2 tables together in all the dining rooms. You just need to remind them the first night. I agree, dining with the family group each night was a true highlight making some very special memories. Enjoy!! :)

4nana,

I am SO happy to hear that! :) :) :)

We've dithered about this cruise for almost a year now. We have a wide variety of ages for the grandchildren - 19 and 18 year old boys and then 4 little girls, so it's been hard coming up with a trip that everyone would enjoy! I'd expect that the mealtimes would be our main time together, as a group.

Oh my, you are going to have such fun!!

IMO you have picked the perfect vacation to celebrate your parents 50th Annv. There is something for everyone, no matter the age. On a cruise and you can stay as busy or as relaxed as you want.

We did the eastern this past Dec. 13 - our first family reunion cruise and it was wonderful to have all the kids, grands together. The 80*warm weather and caribbean were beautiful! You are lucky, as it is close to Christmas they will have all the Christmas festivities also. Caroling w/M&M at the tree lighting, etc. Many photo opts to capture those special memories!

Be sure to let the dining manager know, so he can present them with a cake at dinner one night. Sounds wonderful, I'm sure they will really enjoy the wonderful food, special service and fun activities!!
