Dining quality has declined!

(Our experience) This is based on spending last week at WDW and 4 days in November. I definitely noticed a downtrend in the quality of dining at the WDW restaurants. Many restaurants had pre-plated foods that looked it and were usually dried out. Despite the ho hum food, I have to say that everywhere we ate the servers were top notch! There wasn't a poor one in the bunch! The entrees were very poorly seasoned (if at all). Here is my experience on the dining:

PROS

Coral Reef - definitely has gone up a couple of notches!! Food was quite good and properly flavored. Menu choices were so much better than in the past. Dessert was super! (Wave)

Cape May - another surprise! Very good breakfast as well as dinner! Huge number of choices and cooked quite well!

Liberty Tree - Good turkey, Excellent potatoes/veggies; pot roast very good but again - no flavoring!! (I must be a salt/pepper addict!!) It actually had no taste to it!

Olivias - Very good meals - not excellent, but certainly worth eating there.

Kona Cafe - late lunch was outstanding! Highly recommend.

CONS

Whispering Canyon - good experience for kids but the food was NOT good at all! exception: worms and dirt dessert.

Prime Time - Waaaay down! Little interaction with servers although they were very polite. Caesar Salad with chicken was swimming in a very vinegary dressing and the chicken looked like it was prepared yesterday. S'mores were barely broiled, little chocolate.

Cosmic Rays - Lukewarm burgers, seemed dried out

Trails End - No prime rib!!

Citricos - Veal shank had no flavor at all. Missed the orzo and black sesame seeds!

California Grill - BIG disappointment! Expected the noise, but sushi looked like it had been standing around for awhile, Scallops were buttery/excellent! Goat cheese ravioli wasn't even nearly hot (bowl was though) Filet was tough.

Yachtsman's - Good, but not great (considering the price!!) Very underflavored entrees for all of us. (4 adults)

Could have sworn I had prime there a couple of years ago - maybe wrong restaurant. Last week it was either brisket or flank steak and I could hardly chew it!

Ive never been to TE, but from what Ive read, I would have been quite surprised to find it there. It *seems like* from what Ive read in reviews, that ppl go to TE for one of two reasons. Either #1, its especially convenient for them, or #2, it is cheaper than other WDW buffets (and surely there must be reasons for this, such as no prime rib:confused3 )

We were staying at FW for 3 nites so yes, it was convenient. Would strongly recommend ressie though, it was packed between 6-8PM.

I agree ppiew. IMO, except for the 2TS restaurants, food quality has declined across the board, as has the ambience and overall dining experience at WDW restaurants.
