Are there any issues with using the dining plans or it's used just like cash.

We are looking into getting a dining plans but we would like some feedback

Thank you

We have used both the DDP and the QSDP. We like them for the convenience that they offer (and not necessarily as a money saver--although we do feel we eat better when we are on the plan since we don't pick things based on cost)

Depending on the plan you choose, depends on what you are entitled to. When you go to get a meal, you simply let them know you are on the dining plan and order what you are entitled to and they swipe your card--really easy. And, it is plenty of food

We will always be doing split stays from now on so we can do the DDP for just a few nights (we only like to do TS meals a few times during our stay) and then the QSDP the rest of the time.

My husband and I used the dining plan during a trip in August and were very happy with it; it was certainly very easy to use. We also found that there was plenty of food, we actually shared the quick service meals so that we had one at breakfast and one at lunch, that worked out very well. On this trip we stayed on property without a car, however in an upcoming trip we will have a car so I don't expect to purchase the plan because you can eat much cheaper off property.

There are differences between the Dining Plans and cash.

On the DDP, you lose the choice of having an appetizer instead of dessert, it is dessert only. If you fall ill, or simply don't want to eat a table service meal that includes entree, dessert and beverage, there are no refunds..it is prepaid.

Hwever, depending upon your dining habits, the DDP can save you some $$, especially if you are traveling with children aged 9 and under. If your group is all adult age, the DDP may be more of a convenience package than a $ saver.

It really depends upon how you use the plan, your dining habits, and the overall ages of your trsveling party.

As we generally prefer soups and salads rather than sugary desserts, and have our table service meal for lunch instead of dinner, we save $ by paying with cash over the DDP.
