Dining Plan

I purchased the dining plan for our trip in Oct. Even though they tell you that the tip is included, I was planning on bring some cash as I don't know how much they really put to the side for the servers. If I get exceptional service, I don't want them to get short changed.

What do you all think?

Also, how hard is it to get ressies at CRT? My son (12) is dying to eat inside the Castle. I however, think he just he wants to see all the pretty girls running around. We will be celebrating both of our birthdays there and was hoping to get CRT for his. TIA!

I was planning on bringing some extra cash to supplement the tips. I don't think servers make what they should, so I don't mind being a little "overly" generous with a tip for good service.

And with the free dining package we got this year, I really have no excuse not to be generous with the servers.

As for CRT, I've read it usually books up solid 90 days out for most of the year.

I believe the tip that is included ranges from 15 to 18% depending on the restaurant. When I have excellent service I always tip 20% so I will be leaving extra if i have this type of service. Just call dining you can probably get a date and time for some of your days at CRT in October. The breakfast and lunch are the ones with the characters.

Yes it is 90 days out and I too will be bringing $$ to tip. As far as I know also, when you leave a tip on your credit card they have to pay tax on that and claim it, if the tip is left in cash.....well then they can decide what to do, kwim?

When you call the day to get the PS make sure you start dialing like 30 seconds before it is allowed. I called once and there was a wait only 1 minute after 7am ( I think that is the time they open for calls in the am). So now I start dialing before. Do not wait until mid day or they will all be gone! Good luck!

I am definitely going to tip on top of the dining plan - got in good with the free dining, and got a CRT breakfast with no prob with the time and day I had in mind - guest services couldn't believe it either!! Can't wait!!!

Congrats!! My 90 days hits this Sunday, so i will be up bright and early!
