Stupid question but just want to make sure.

I already made my Disney Dining Reservations last month. I am looking to add the dining plan to my DVC stay. This has no impact to existing reservations right?

I am waiting for Member Services to open up to confirm but figured I'd ask people as well.

Thanks!

One doesn't have anything to do with the other. Just like paying cash or with a gift card doesn't matter.

Yeah, what Bill said. When you make an ADR, they don't care if you pay with cash, credit, or dining plan, just as long as you pay. Some have reported you can add a dining plan as late as arrival, but I think officially, it's up until 24 hours before check-in.

I did the DDP on my very first trip to WDW and it made vacationing/eating soooo amazingly easy. I'd have no qualms buying in for that reason, but have you done the math on your plans OOP vs the dining plan? Across the trips I've done since then, I've ADRd whatever restaurant we were interested in, ate at whatever counter service struck our fancy, and snacked like we were immune to obesity (which I've sadly come to realize, I'm not), and I've always come out ahead of the dining plan, and by large margin at that. We do have DVC/AP discounts on some table service meals though, so that may factor in, but I'm certain the DDP will never be a pure economical decision for us again.

Depending on the make-up of your vacation party you can save money on the DDP, but you really need to have a lot of young children who don't count as adults on the DDP to get your money's worth.

Like BingShowei said if your not worried about your calorie count it can save you money, but it's a lot of food, and the real savings is in using the snack credits to their full extent.
