Help! I know this may have been asked already before but I can't seem to find an answer. Is the counter service dining plan per person per day? (i.e. if we stay 2 nights, I can buy just 1 plan?) It's not like WDW wherein it's for the length of your stay for all persons in the room right? Thanks in advance!

You don't need to include the counter service dining plan with a package. You can purchase it separately however you like.

You can buy it right at the register when you are paying for your meal. Do the math and see if it makes financial sense on a day by day basis.

i get more for my money on the counter service dining plan when i first buy it at the 3B's.
Or at Louie's

The beverage is included.

The snack and extra drink on the quick service plan last 14 days. So day 1 buy 1 quick service plan and have breakfast say with a beverage at leaky cauldron.

Day 2 use your snack for a big pink donut and a drink. Butterbeer is a snack though not a drink.

Not big savings but will save a few dollars if you have a breakfast at one of the potter restaurants or a dearer entree. I know the kids breakfast at leaky cauldron is pretty much the cost of the kids quick service plan so a drink and a snack are 'free'.

According to the Universal website, Florean Fortescue's is included as a snack spot. But, I haven't been able to find any information about what you can get there with your snack credit. Does anyone have any insight or experience?

ice cream?
:upsidedow Haha I think they meant is everything included... Cone, cup, one scoop, 2 scoop.... Jimmies. I have t been in there so they offer jimmies? I can have ice cream but I know that's what normal ice cream places offer

We used a snack credit in florean, got ice cream in a cup. It is the only option on touring plans showing as a snack and costs 4.99. We had the hard packed flavours.

BTW, at Florean's, if you get the hard packed ice cream in the cup, you get two scoops (and can pick two different flavors)!

Thanks all! :) I think I'm set on getting at least one counter service package... Is the drink included only for breakfast at 3B's and Leaky Cauldron? Also, what drinks are included and where can I get them? Is there a list I can find somewhere? Thanks again!

Haha, love that you said jimmies! I'm from RI and that's what we call sprinkles here. My husband thinks I'm crazy :)

I need to remember these new words

Jimmies is a new one for me
Sprinkles I learned that when I was a little..

Well there's a difference between Jimmies and sprinkles. My brother worked at an old fashioned ice cream place when he was in HS so we went often... Back when I could eat dairy. Jimmies are the typical ice cream sprinkles... you know the longer tubular shaped ones. Usually rainbow colored or chocolate. The sugar and non parcels are just sprinkles. So whenever I'm talking about ice cream I say jimmies... whenever I'm baking I say sprinkles. That's all I have to add to this topic! haha I don't know anything about dining plans other than what I've read.

THANK YOU TinyD! I know a lot of people that say jimmies for all of them or sprinkles for all of them....Jimmies are GROSS (imo, of course :) ) They are the waxy/crisco-y tubes.

The drinks are included with the price of the breakfast at 3B and Leaky. Choices are: pumpkin juice, hot tea, coffee, apple juice, orange juice, milk, hot cocoa, cold or hot butterbeer (not listed as an option, but they will let you order it...we've had breakfast at those places 5 times now.)

For the CS dining plan, you get a drink included with your meal, a snack credit, and an extra drink credit.

All "fancy" Potter drinks (Butterbeer, Fishy Green Ale, Lemon Squash, etc) are counted as a snack credit.
