We havent been to Disney since the implementation of the wristbands, so we're kinda out of the loop. I have some questions, would someone be kind enough to answer please? We're travelling with two kids and and their mom, who will also be on the dinning plan. Chances are we wont be eating together at all the meals. Since it's wristbands will it be more personalized?

1. Is it possible that we can separate the dinning credits? Like have the parent and the kids credits separated from our own?
2. Is there a way to distinguish child and adult credits?
3. Since they use wristbands now is it possible to see how much credit each person has left? The server will scan you individually correct?
4. If we pick up QS meals, it would show how many child and adult credits are left and under which names?

We dont want to be stuck sitting every night trying to figure out who used what credits since we're all paying for our own plan.

Thanks in advance

Sorry forgot to add that we will be on the deluxe dining plan, if that makes a difference

1. Credits are allocated to the room. If everyone is in the same room, then all credits are pooled. There's no way to split them out.
2. Every time you use a credit, you'll get a receipt that shows how many child and adult credits are remaining.
3. No; the credits are not allocated to the individual, but to the group as a whole. Only one person will need to scan their band for the entire party.
4. Nope, again, credits are not allocated to the individual. Counter-service credits will not distinguish between adult and child credits. There are protections in place to prevent you from circumventing the system and using child credits for adult meals at counter-service restaurants.

ok so we always go with the Deluxe plan. For me its easier to plan out my day and see how many credits we will have left. Basically each person in your party gets 3 TS credits per night of your stay and 2 snack credits. They are all lumped together so there is really no way to break them apart unless you strategically plan it that way. I wouldn't suggest using any QS locations bc then you are really not getting your moneys worth on the dining plan. I would either have each person have 3 sit down TS meals a day or 1 sit down TS meal (maybe breakfast), then use some snack credits for lunch, and then do some signature dining for dinner which costs 2 credits. Before we go to Disney I usually make all the ADRs and I have every meal planned out so I know exactly how many credits we are going to use. Since they are now using the wrist bands they only swipe 1 wrist band and it is linked to your My Disney Experience page and it shows up how many credits you have and deducts from that. They don't need to scan each wrist individually. When you get a receipt it will usually tell you how many credits you have left on your receipt. My advice to you would be to plan out your dining and start making some ADRs that way you will have all the credits pretty much calculated out before you even get to Disney.

Thank you for the replies.

Usually we travel with our own parents, book all our dining, then whatever we have left in snacks we grab at the end of our stay or if we table service left we grab at as take out when we dine in or just grab quick service meals to use up all the credits.

However this time we're travelling with our cousin and her two kids. On some days we have different things planned so we wont have duplicate reservations, that's the problem. We wont even know how many snacks we have left unless we kept track on every transaction. If we do a basic plan, what if her kids grab adult meals at the counter service and the adult credits are taken, that means we're stuck with child credits. I'm not sure how disney works, but I know some places would not let adults buy a kid meal. Can someone help clear this for me please?

Oh also how about Le Cellier for lunch is that one credit or two?

1. If all of you are in one room there will only be one pool of credits. There is no way to separate your credits from those of the Mom and 2 kids. If they are in a separate room, their credits would be separate from yours.
If everyone is in one room it will be up to someone in the group to explain how many dining credits and snack credits each person has (3 dining credits and 2 snack credits per night of the reservation) and to keep track of who used which credits each day. There was a thread a while back where one person in the group used up virtually all of the group's snack credits and the poster wanted to know what they could do about it.

2. For TS credits it will list how many Adult and Children's credits you have left separately.

3-4. Only one Magic band will need to be scanned if you are all in one room. At the bottom of the receipt it will list the number of credits still left for the room, not individually.

LeCellier is 2 credits per person at both lunch and dinner.

Thank you Purple Figment

I laughed out loud at the comment about how one person in group used up all the credits lol. Usually we're so full we rarely use our snack credits on a daily basis till the last day, and we just use it to get packaged candy or something. But when you're travelling with two little kiddies, chances are they will be using those snack credits pretty quickly...and once that's done, it's like we're paying for the same plan yet no snack credits to use ourselves. it's hard to ask for those credits back from them which is why I was hoping there was a way to separate all the credits individually

Considering your cousin and her two kiddos will have six total credits per night of stay, I don't think you have too much to worry about. Hopefully, the relationship is good enough to sit down and explain what everyone is entitled to and trust each other to eat accordingly.

that thread about the one person using all the snack credits still sticks in the memory. The poster wanted DISNEY to refund the cost of the snack credits the guy used that weren't his. Sorry but that's on him...get him to pay you for those snacks.

The thing to do, if you are all in the same room, is to sit down with your cousin ahead of time (or do it by phone/email if you are long distance) and let her know how many of each type of credit belong to her family for her to use. Let her know that you expect her family to use only their own credits and keep track of their own credits. Also what you will expect to happen if they use YOUR credits. If you're in different rooms it won't matter, the credits are allocated by room.

Thank you everyone. I think we might do punch cards where we can just mark with a pen because we're staying over a week, it's going to be hard to keep track of all the snacks and double credit dining if we are split up sometimes
