Dining plan...

I have everyting booked we are staying at the BCV for 5 nights we leave October 16th and we are driving down.. I was just thinking can I get just the dining plan now if I have everything booked already? I rented points so I didn't go through disney, how would I go about this and finding out how much it would cost? Please help if you can

I am not an expert, but we rented points and got DDP in January.

I believe you'd need to contact the member you are renting from and have them add DDP to your reservation. You would pay for it when you check in (you pay Disney directly, not the DVC member.) the cost is the same as it is for everyone else--it depends on your dates.

It can be added to your DVC rented reservation, but only the member can do it for you. It must be added no less than 48 hours before your arrival day. Also, if it is added before 10/14, you can pay for it upon arrival.

If it is after that, payment in full will be due by the member when it is booked. Some members may not want to deal with that - it's a new policy and many DVC members who rent haven't figured out how it will be handled yet, since it's going to involve credit cards (i.e., will you have to pay the member up front and they will charge it to their credit card, or would the renter have to provide their credit card # to the owner, etc. -- sounds potentially messy).

Go ahead and call for the dining plan. The basic plan is lots of food, not too expensive, fairly flexible and -- most important -- solves the worry about "What do we eat now?" The cost is about $43 for adults and $11 for kids per day.
