dining plan ?

can you add the dining plan when you check in or do you have to buy the package?

We're planning on getting a 2 bedroom next july with a AAA rate but we dont want to buy tickets until we arrive. BUT, we discovered that it would be cheaper for us to get the dining plan b/c there's 7 of us (6 on the plan)

We also want the ability to cancel without penalty 5 days out b/c you never know whats going to happen especially with 4 kids.

So my basic question is...do you need a package to get the dining plan? It would save us soooo much money

yes and even with DVC, you'd need to add it several days in advance and would not be able to add it at check in.

Yes, you must have a package if you are not using DVC points. This means everyone must have the same tickets, everyone in the room must be on the dining plan, and the package must be paid in full 45 days prior. There would be a penalty if you cancelled less than 45 days out.

So you cant reserve a room and than like teh week before add on tickets and teh dining plan?

If we cant than we're going to be spending a lot more money than we really want to on food. But we dont want to be hooked into a package especially with the 45 day deadline for payign it off.

My family has always done room only adn bought tickets there. We've never done the dining plan but im helping another family plan and for 10 days and teh dining plan would defintiely be better but if we cant get it, we cant get it.
We'll still probably end up doing all of teh TS meals anyway

And to get any AAA discount rates on a pkg, you would need to book thru them. You can a 'room only' AAA disc on your own, but that's it.
