ok, this is my first time doing this, not really sure what I'm doing. We will be at Disney 9/5-9/10 we will arrive late on the 5th and leave early on the 10th. I have 5 ts credits, 5 cs credits and 5 snack credits right? This is what I have adr's for :

Sat 9/6 CP breakfast at 8:05
Mickey's backyard B'BQ at 6:30 (this takes 2 ts credits)

Sun 9/7 Hoop Dee Doo at 7:15 pm (this also takes 2 credits)

Wed 9/10 Chef Mickey's breakfast at 8:35

So that leaves Mon and Tues for Counter service so it looks like I will have to pay out of pocket for a meal or two right? Did I do the right thing? Would you do anything different? I have a son age 11 and daughter age 8.

Help, any suggestions, advice?

I'm going to move this over to the dining plan board for you. We have a great group of people over there who can help you out.

Well, you've already used all of your TS credits. You will have 5 CS credits and 5 snacks left apiece. You'll need to think about how many meals you want. If you do two meals and a snack a day, you could, if you want, do no meals on the 5th, MBBQ on the 6th plus a counter service meal and a snack, HDD on the 7th plus a counter service meal and a snack, two counter service meals plus a snack for the 8th, and one counter service meal, a snack and one paid meal on the 9th. Then you have Chef Mickey's on the 10th. You'd have another snack left. You could also elect to pay for Chef Mickey's and use the table service on the 9th to get dinner, which would be more expensive than a breakfast.

Well.....

It depends on if your family likes TS meals or not. If you don't really care to take time for sit down meals and three big dinners are enough for your trip, then your plan sounds fine :thumbsup2 If you like to have a nice sit down at least once a day, then I'd probably drop the BBQ and book two other meals instead. It sounds like the BBQ is pretty chaotic, but I'm sure some folks like that. If you've never done the BBQ before, you might want to read reviews of it -- some folks love it, some not so much.

There are a LOT of different TS experiences at WDW -- buffets, character meals, Chinese food, Moroccan cuisine, seafood...what does your family like?

We like just about anything, but I guess I didn't want to plan too many sit down dinners, it just seems like it keeps us restricted to be somewhere at a certain time. We have never ate at any of the places on my list. I will go check out the reviews, thanks for your input!!

This is what I have adr's for :

Sat 9/6 CP breakfast at 8:05
Mickey's backyard B'BQ at 6:30 (this takes 2 ts credits)
I would cancel this and keep the HDDR ADR you already have. CP should be great and two All You Care to Eat or Buffet meals might be a lot. Enjoy a CS dinner either at a park or at your resort.

Sun 9/7 Hoop Dee Doo at 7:15 pm (this also takes 2 credits)
I'd use CS Credits for Breakfast and Lunch if needed.

Mon 9/8 Make a 1TS ADR (Coral Reef and Boma were big hits with us) your choice, CS for other meal of the day

Tues 9/9 Make a 1TS ADR, CS for other meal of the day

Wed 9/10 Chef Mickey's breakfast at 8:35
We loved this place, but you might have some extra CS credits left or just want to enjoy your resort before taking off. You could simply use your final CS credits for breakfast rather than pay for a 6th TS meal. You could also try to move this ADR to the 8th or 9th to be sure to "get it in". We ended up sneaking in some time at MGM and in the pool on our final day, different than our original park plans, so it was nice not to have an ADR "to make". You may be better about your schedule and appreciate this last gasp of magic before leaving, lots of people do a meal like Chef Mickey's as their "final act".

As you can see, I would spread out the TS meals and I would choose either HDDR or the Backyard BBQ.

ok, I have changed everything, here is the new plan:

9/6 CP 8:05am Magic Kingdom day

9/7 Hoop Dee Doo 7:15 dinner Magic Kingdom Day

9/8 Whispering Canyon 5:00 dinner (ds 11th birthday) Hollywood Studios

9/9 we'll just use 2 cs credits this day for lunch and dinner Epcot day

9/10 Chef Mickey's 8:30 (departure day)

How does this look? I have called like 4x today to change things! This is the first time I have made this many ressies, I usually just make one!

Looks like you figured it out! We'll be there at the same time (Sept 6-13)

I think it looks great. If you decide you're willing to pay for one meal, I'd add Coral Reef for your Epcot Day then pay for Chef Mickey's (we spent 2TS at Narcoossee's last yr and paid for CM's). We had lunch at Coral Reef, it was a great meal and really nice treat on a hot park day! Otherwise using the 2CS credits at Epcot would work well; there are lots of good options.

By the way, Cool Wash Pizza (near Test Track) doesn't have a kids menu. You can use children's CS credits to get pizza there. Same is true in the UK(fish and chips meals).
