I'm sure this has been posted before but the search feature isn't working for me. :(

We love to eat at Disney & the meal plan works wonderful for us. We are thinking of driving from Canada with our TT & three young boys this year. We'd like to stay for about 10 days but don't need the meal plan for all the days. Do people do two reservations in order to have a meal plan for part of their trip? And if so, is it a real pain?

I have stayed on three different reservations before for just one week. I wasn't a big deal. I wasn't doing the meal plan, I was just the only way I could get all the days I wanted. I pieced a trip together over Thanksgiving week through the web site. They didn't make me move. I just had to go to the desk and check in again.
