Did anyone's family do this? If so, how did it work out? Did you feel like your family revolved around eating food all vacation?

What are some good "Table Serving" restaurants?

We are trying out the Platinum Plan this July which essentially has a dinning plan with it. I fear coming back to Massachusetts 10 times heavier! LOL. What we plan on doing is just eating what we can when we can where we can lol. Victoria and Albert's is included in the plan and so as we are staying at the Grand Floridian, this will work out well. I am not sure of a restaurant that isn't included so I think we will be eating quite a bit. However, I really don't want food to be the center of this vacation so I too would love to hear what others have to say.

Hi! :wave2: I've been talking to your sister a ton via PM, haha!

Anyways, I don't think Victoria and Albert's is included....and would you really that gourmet food...? EW!!! Haha, that's one of my fears...is that most of the Disney Table Services actually have really nasty food...I might be going for the chicken fingers on the kid's menu a few nights! LOL.

There the link is to show ALL the restaurants and what they are...

That is actually a really scary comment! ROFL!!! How do you know who my sister is? Or I should ask, how did you know I am her sister?? LOL. What table services are you looking at? And what Dining Plan are you using? Victoria and Albert's is only on the Platinum Plan as it is an extremely costly and elegant restaurant. (We have eaten there before and yes, the food there is unlike ANYTHING you have eaten *unless you've been to a 5 star restaurant lol*.) I could go on and on about this place but I digress lol. I could also go on and on about dining at the GF but that would essentially turn into a novel so yeah lol.

I sent her a random PM one day about the GF :rotfl: and she told me who you were. :rotfl2:

I could go on and on about the GF in general!

But I'm :offtopic:

I'm surprised that you liked Victoria and Albert's! It must have been SO much fun to get that dressed up!!!

Girl...you and I both!! LOL!!!

I truly loved Victoria and Albert's. My sister did not! lol. The food was not her style and she didn't like the fitting of her dress rofl. However, we went with a family member who lives down in Florida and his friend. We had a blast!

It was nice getting all dressed up. I wore a black simple, ankle length dress. The best part was however, walking up and down the Grand Staircase all dressed up like that! After the dinner as we walked down, I wanted to start doing a princess/queen wave! LOL. It was awesome. The restaurant was dimly lit and a harpest played in the background. The plates were out of this world!! We each had our own waiter/waitress (Albert/Victoria) and so all of our plates were placed in front of us at the same time and they explained to each of us what we were being served. I can't describe it in words!!!! But oh, it certainly isn't for younger children...that is a big no no!! LOL. My sister was lucky to get in lol.

We have used it once and we are going to use it again on our next trip. It is really cool you get to have snacks everyday, a good lunch, and A very good dinner.

If you like to see characters like i still do or if you like to eat fancy this is a REALLY good plan because you end up saving a *LOT* of money. Like we went to mie favorite place t eat LeCellier which on the dining plan you get an appetizer, entree, drink, and a dessert! I love dessert our dinner ended up being around $250 but since we were on the dining plan we just had to pay that first fee and that is it all of your food and snacks(unless you use all of your snack credits) are paid for!!! I loved it and since we are stayig longer we are goin to LeCellier 2 times! i think that i am goin to be in HeAvEn!~! lOl!!

You have counter service meals too they are like the fast food type restraunts.

i hope this helps you decide!!

Oooh I did the Dining Plan in Jan Ash! It was sooo worth it.
We ate at:
Chef Mickey's (twice)--but I heard on another thread that you hated it there, lol
1900 Park Fare (Awesome!)
Hollywood & Vine (Eh...not so great)
Whispering Canyon Cafe (AWESOME!)
Crystal Palace (lot of fun!)
