Dining Plan with Discount?

I'm sure someone can answer this question for me. We are currently booked in September at SSR with a 30% off pin code. I called today to see if we could switch to the Treehouse Villas but there is currently nothing available with either my pin OR free dining.

I also asked if we kept our reservation as is would we be able to purchase the dining plan? They said we could not b/c we already had a package. Is this true? If so, am I understanding that my options are: pay oop for every meal but get 30% room, forgo 30% and get 'free' dining or if I really want THV pay oop for everything?

The CM was mistaken. As long as you have a true package booked (room and tickets) there is no reason that I can think of that you cannot add the dining plan and pay for it. Perhaps she misunderstood you and thought you wanted free dining plus your 30% off. THAT would be something you couldn't do. The other scenario is if you booked through a travel agent and only they can add the plan for you. I would give them a call back and see what the CM tells you. Good luck!

If you already have a package you should be able to purchase a dining plan. Call back and ask someone else.
