Dining Plan with 4/3 Deal????

I'm helping friends plan their trip and they have a question. I think I know the answer but I want to make sure I give them the correct answer. My friends have the a vacation booked with the current buy 4 nights get 3 free. They would like to have the dining plan for only 5 nights. I told them I thought they would have to book it for 7 nights. Am I correct? Sometimes one doesn't always think they are as smart as they are. Any help would be apprecited. Thanks Much!

On one reservation, the dining plan has to be length of stay, yes.

They could do b4g1 (based on other posts I've read) and then a separate room only reservation for 2 nights, but of course that negates the savings.

Can't be done, they'd need to book it for the full length of the reservation.
