Dining Plan with 1 and 2 year olds.

I know that the kids are not included and it is not even an option for them. I will pay for kids meals no problem. My question is has anyone done the buffets or Character dining with kids not on the plan. I was told they could eat off our plate but do they really have to eat off our plate or can they get a dish of their own?

They can have their own plate. You won't have any problem. The only time they would eat off your plate is at a restaraunt with a menu or you would order them their own food.

At a restaurant that is either buffet or all you can eat (such as CRT or LTT Dinner) anyone less than three gets their own plate and may eat anything at no charge.

For menu service restaurants they will bring an empty plate and place setting at no charge, but anything ordered off either the regular or children's menu has to be paid for.

I just want to make sure I understand correctly...when DH, 1 year old DD, and I have lunch at CRT in September they will bring her out her own children's entree? Cool...I wasn't expecting that! I figured I'd have to share my meal with her.

Thanks everyone! I wanted to make sure they would not have to eat off the table. I figure with the regular dining( non buffet) they can get kids meals and share all the food DH and I will be getting on the plan. Thanks again!

That's why we like the buffets w/our little kids. They eat so little anyway and buffets have a better selection of fruit and vegetables IMO than the children's menus I've seen.

If you do the dining plan, other restaurants will probably give yoiu more bang for the buck, but I like the buffets for little ones.
