Dining plan while at the Dolphin

No, the Dolphin is a Starwood resort, not owned or run by Disney. The DDP is only available at Disney owned resorts. Dolphin does not get ME airport service either, but usually does participate in EMH as Starwood pays Disney for that guest amemity most years.

Thank you!

Thanks - was about to ask the same question as I can stay there about $250 cheaper than I can at a WDW resort if we go this summer. Was thinking oop wouldn't be bad to try for dining but the ME thing is a big deal.

Without ME, you can eat up alot of that savings in airport transfers I'm guessing.

i saw before that Swan?dolphin have some extra fees that are not indicated online. Parking fee and sometype of other fee relating to the room.

Both Swan and Dolphin have a resort fee as well as a parking fee. Even with a good rate you've got to factor in thoses costs to compare apples to apples.

A round trip Mears airport shuttle from/to the airport would run about $30-$35 per adult, the exact cost escapes me at the moment.

The extra fees & no ME were the deciding factors for us deciding to skip the Swan or Dolphin for a Disney resort. Really liked the idea of the location & the rate for the room (using teacher discount) almost had us. But, by the time you add the other fees + we're still hoping for free dining, decided we better stick with Disney. Another thing that didn't appeal to us was the inside corridor hallways. We spend time at the pool daily (often more than once a day) and like being able to walk right in to our room from an exterior door rather than walking thru the hotel, up the elevator and down an inside hallway.

It's true there are quite a few cons for Swan/Dolphin.
We are going to try Dolphin for the first time this year, but we are in a situation that makes it worth it.
We are in NY and S/D are offering 1 free night for every two, so we are going to stay 9 nights for the price of 6, that brings the price lower than a moderate even with the extra service package fee!
We will not be driving, so no car to park.
I will have an AP and will be getting the TIW card, so no need for the dining plan!
And, since the Giants won, we get a free room upgrade!
So, for at least this trip, Dolphin makes a lot of sense.
We have DVC, but no available points right now, so it'll be Dolphin and then next time, back to my beloved Kidani!
