(already posted this I thought, but it must have got lost in cyber-space!!)

I was wondering if it's just the standard pop/juice/milk that are considered non alcoholic beverages in the dining plan or if you can get milkshakes or smoothies or things like virgin caesar's???

Also, I read that some places included glowing ice cubes in kids drinks on the plan, but only certain TS meals. Any idea which places???

Thanks for your help! :flower:

I would also like to know this. I have read that you can order smoothies and such at table services, but could you do this at counter services? :goodvibes

I am getting ready to find out first hand but from what I have read it is tea, soft drinks, coffee, etc. I have read where some places offers shakes and special drinks as long as they do not come in a special cup. I would love to know for sure before I get there and try to order something that they won't let me have.

I bet that there is no correct answer to this question... It seems to depend on your server. I've even lately seen people post that they got the light up ice cube drinks covered by the dining plan. I am going to ask each server that we get.

I am not positive about this, but I have read that drinks are anything non-alcoholic. Of course, I would assume that if it is in a special cup it is not included. WL says that a milk shake can be either drink or dessert, and bottomless milkshakes as a beverage on the dining plan are ok. Like I said I haven't been yet, but this is what I have read on the boards. Anybody read this?

I have read on another posting that sometimes you can get the drink in the special cup if you are will to pay for the mug. Someone got the Bibbiddi Bobbiddi Brew from CRT and just paid for the mug. I also read that you can get one shake or smoothie from Le Cellier. I think that the shake is included at WCC. Sci-Fi also was including a shake with the plan. I must admit that I personnally have not see this. The best thing is to ask your CM what is the best way to maximize the dining plan.

***Remember that their tip is based on the food that you order, they will make sure that they help you get the best bang for the plan!

The PDF document from Disney says:

"One (1) single serving non-alcoholic beverage"

It also has a photo on the same page of a milkshake, so I would definitely think they are included.

I think the specialty drinks such as the glowing ice cube drinks aren't specified and I've heard that technically they are not, but it depends on your server.

Is a milkshake considered a drink or a dessert?

If you consume it with a straw, it is a drink. If you consume it with a spoon, it is a dessert.
