Dining plan - was the CM right?

I spoke to a DVC CM and added the dxddp to our rooms. We have a 2bdrm at BLT and a 1Bdrm at BLT booked for January (big family coming together - yay!). We had old expiring points so used them to take just 5/13 of us (my little family) to BCV for one night in a 1 bdrm (we want to try the pool/beach and might consider a contract there in the future) while the rest of our party stays in the 2 bdrm/1 bdrm rooms without us for the one night.

The CM booked the dining plan only on on BLT stay - for the whole stay for all 13 of us - rather than segmenting it for the one night (the BCV stay was a totally different reservation). While I am pleased that we may not have such a difficult time with the dining plan, I am concerned she didn't do the correct thing and it will haunt us later....

I don't see what you are concerned about. Just use your BLT KTTW card for meals during your BCV stay.

I've had the 'joy' of sorting things out at the front desk while the kids melt down, hubby tapping his toe, and I'd rather have fun!

I don't see an issue. Don't worry about this one and have a great vacation!

I don't see a problem either. Am I understanding this correctly - one night your family is staying at the BCV, but you also have a room booked for your family at BLT? If this is correct, you just use your BLT room key to access your dining plan.

It sounds as though you are wanting the DDP for 5 guests staying in a 1BR for 1 night - while the rest of your party will be in the 2BR and the other 1BR? If that is the case, only 5 of you should be charged for the DDP for that one night in the extra 1BR villa - you should not need to pay for all 13 guests in your party to be on the DDP.

If you wanted to have the DDP for all 13 for the entire stay, then everything should be fine as it is now.

The two rooms are separate DDP plans. All in a room will need to get the plan for that room. You could get one plan for one room and a different plan for another room or get the DDP for one room and nothing for the other.

Are both rooms under the same reservation number? If that's the case I can understand your concern but I don't think anyone would be able to say for certain if it will work without a hitch or not. It should, but.....

If they are different reservation numbers then all you should need to do is get the BLT room keys and it should be fine.

It sounds like you have all BLT rooms for the whole trip and an extra BCV room for a night you ALSO have all of the BLT rooms. As long as you've checked into the BLT and have those keys I don't see why it wouldn't work.
