What are some higher priced snacks you have been allowed on the dining plan? I'm showing my husband what a great deal the plan is!! Thanks for your help. :sunny:

I had escargot at the Food and Wine Festival - $4.00 (that's the upper limit) Also bought a box of cookies for 4.00 at World of Disney.

We had an extended stay and enjoyed many snacks. We went for whatever tasted the best rather than what cost the most.

The only regret I have is that we should have used some of our snack points for iced teas when we wanted it in the beginning. We love iced tea.

There is a thread of what snacks are allowed and I printed it out and took it with us. It really came in handy to know what was available in each park. Nothing worse than eating something and then finding something you like better a few steps away. :rotfl:

Go, enjoy, don't worry!!

Where did you find that thread? I'd love to be able to print that and take it as well. :)

Here's the thread with the exhaustive list of snacks

Confirmed Dining Plan Snacks
(it's a sticky at the top of the Dining Plan page)

One of the things that we did was get a box of donuts as one snack credit and used them for breakfast for at least a day or two for 6 of us. That was a bargain! Also, full size bags of chips the Pop were one credit...so that could be an evening treat for the whole family.

It was a sticky? Oops.
Thanks alot though! :sunny:

MMMM...donuts.

Dang, I sound like freaking Homer Simpson now!

To make it even worse they are Entenmann's assorted CHOCOLATE donuts. 8 of them!! Disney does quality well.

I avoid those things like a plague until it was time for us to go home. They were a whole bunch better than the usual 'complimentary' breakfast at the motels on the way home. :thumbsup2

I always like to save one or two snack credits to take home some of the adorable (and yummy) Mickey Mouse shaped cheese crackers. I probably wouldn't pay $3 for the size package if I was paying OOP.

Our average snack price seems to be around the $3 mark.

For snacks we found the following to be included:
At Epcot's World Showcase in the stores any food item that was under $5.00 with tax, some of the items we got from the stores in World Showcase were:
Chocolate Bars from Germany
Candy Bars from England
A Box Mickey Cookies (ok these are available anywhere, but delicious)

Inside the bakeries in Epcot (except in France) anything but sandwhiches are considered snacks, we got Cheesecake in Norway that would have come out at about $6.50 per slice.

Also at Goofy's Candy Company in Downtown Disney, anything under $5.00 is eligible, including chocolate covered Pretzels, Marshmallows, Cookies, Etc. Note the Candied Apples are not available on the dining plan there, but any of the other ones are, even the custom ordered ones and if you are really nice you can even get them to do 1/2 white chocolate and 1/2 milk chocolate on the same item.

Some of the better values are snack that you can eat for multiple days, these include:
A large Bag of Pretzels (I would reccomend paying out of pocket for these though, as they are relatively cheap and last a long time without going stale).

Box of cookies.

Small bag of popcorn.

I am sure there are many others as well.

We found that at Epcot's F&W festival, all snacks were included. Even the $6.50 lobster roll. I had read that they were included on the boards, so I ordered one and asked it to be applied to the snack credit and they didn't even blink. That was a good deal!

At all star music in the store I got large bags of chips and cheese sause, pretsels. We had about 8 snacks left on our last day so we got boxes of cookies large, pretsels to bring home with us. yum

And because if can't be mentioned often enough.

Dole Whip Floats! :cool1: (i think about $3.60)

hound :thumbsup2
