Does any one have a picture of the refillable mug?
I know that a quick service meal can be switched for 3 snacks, are there any other similar conversions? Like can 2 quick service meals equal one sit down meal?

The credits are not always interchangeable. We had a huge issue over this last December, and that was after we had a concierge call down to the shop to check and was told that we could swap them. Apparently, there is no clear policy in place.

Oh, and I'm almost positive you can't trade QS meals (any quantity) for table service.

As others have said, this is no longer a given. Some reports of not being able to switch out at all. Others of only getting ONE snack item for the QS credit. I would plan on using the plan as it is intended.

Having gone every year under free dining, we always had a ton of left over cs. In the old days (a few years ago) the did exchange them for 3 snacks. Now, you can exchange a cs for 1, yes I said 1 snack and that is only if you talk to a manager to do so. Additioanlly the only thing you can do with an TS is use it as a counter service. You do not get 2 CS for the 1 TS. It certainly makes us really try to use up everything we have since the "exchange rate" is not like it used to be.

Of course I am not a Disney employee or expert but the aforementioned is how it has been in the past 2 years for us. Maybe call Disney dining directly and talk to a rep to see their official stance (if there is one;) ).

Also at one time you could use a TS at a QS and get some thing like a tote bag to make up the difference.

I recall this was mostly during free dining a few years ago when guests didn't realize that they had to make ADRs and then found everywhere booked with no walk ups. Not anymore its just one TS = QS which used to only apply to the Deluxe Dining Plan.

I don't think even a phone call will give you an official stance because the policy differs from CM to CM. The one thing that bothers me about WDW customer service is that dissemination of information is terrible so in order to get any good info you need to ask a dozen times, and then hope the Cm you get when you want to do whatever it was is on the same page. Makes me crazy!

That's not a given. It's honestly vastly different for everyone.

We were there in March. The resort food court CM allowed us to do 3 snacks for 1 QS credit.

OP - I wouldn't count on any type of conversion for the QS meals. I'd definitely ask if it's needed and I'd only do it at your food court for best results.

I am pretty sure that exchanges of ANY kind are against rules. That being said, at the resorts come of the CM's allow you to exchange some snacks for a CS meal. They should because technically you get an entree, a dessert, and a drink, The dessert and the drink (bottle water or bottle milk, or OJ, etc) are essentially 2 snacks.

So if you want 2 snacks for a CS meal you wont have a problem at most CS places or resorts. If you went to a ice cream wagon or the funnel cake stand and tried to get 3 funnel cakes for a CS meal, I dont think that would fly. In fact I am sure of it. But sitting down for a CS meal, you should be able to (at the least) get 2 snacks.

That is the ONLY exchange you will be able to get away with. With the exception of possibly a CS meal for a TS credit, which in my opinion is ridiculous. There are plenty of TS locations you CAN walk up to without a Ressie and it will be much better than any CS meal.

Here is a thought, try using the Dining Plan the way it was intended, I always make all of my TS reservations in advance and basically have every CS meal at least thought out. Maybe not where we will get a CS meal, but on:
Monday we will do CS for breakfast, midday snack, TS Dinner
Tuesday TS Character Breakfast, snack lunch(muffin croissant at main st bakery), CS Dinner at hotel.

etc....

i find if you plan out your meals, you find that you get the most out of the DDP and dont end up wasting credits.

When doing a signature meal that takes 2 TS credits we sacrafice a oop meal at Earl of Sandwich, which is good and cheap, and the other meal of the day would be a CS credit.

Granted we are 2 meal a day family and 1 snack also is usually too much for us. Especially the desserts you get with the TS meals, we often take back to our room because we are so full. BUT we drink alot of water and juice and milk, so our snack credits are used up daily.

Try to plan out your meals it will pay off!!!

From the FAQs on the 2013 dining plan brochure:

Q. Can Guests substitute a table-service or quick-service entitlement for a snack?
A. No, Guests may not substitute a table-service or quick-service entitlement for a snack.

Because it was usually allowed previously, there's a lot of variation in what CMs will do now, but bottom line: it totally depends on the CM you ask.

I guess it depends on the CM. In May, we were not on the DDP, but had gone over to CSR for lunch at the Pepper Market and on the way out stopped off at Cafe Rix to pick up some pastries for the next morning. The lady checking out in front of us was asking to trade in some CS credits for snacks. The CM told her it would be a one for one trade. She argued that in the past she had been allowed to trade in one CS credit for three snacks. The CM told her it had just recently changed to one for one. She insisted on talking to a manager, who came over and told her the same thing, 'it has recently changed to a one for one'. She argued that was ridiculous as you normally get three items for a CS credit (entree, dessert, and beverage). He again told her if she wanted to trade in CS for snacks it would be just one for one. She then asked if she could use them as CS credits, and get a dessert and a beverage and skip the entree and he told her that was fine too, so she did round up getting two snacks for her CS credit, but it had to be a bottled beverage and a dessert for each one (not two desserts or two beverages) and she lost the third item.:confused3
