Dining Plan Questions - Please help clarify

We will be staying at the POFQ for 7 nights in August with a 4 day base ticket for the parks. My questions are:

1.) If we decide to add a Dining Plan onto our reservation - is it for all 7 days or only 4 as we only have park tickets for 4 days?

2.) Can you get either the Quick Service or the Table plans when staying at POFQ? A friend said she couldn't stay at POFQ last fall because she wanted the Quick Service meal plan and was told she had to stay at a Value Resort - maybe because she used Free Dining?

Its for the length of stay -- so 7 days.
And if you are paying for it, you can get QS.

If you are getting the free dining then you get the regular dining plan at French Quarter and the quick service plan at a value. However, if you call, not book on line, they will be more than willing to let you get the less expensive meal plan....

If you are paying for a dining plan you can add whatever one you want. We have been doing a dining plan for many years. The last 2 trips it has been free. If I do not get free dining I will not pay for the plan as I no longer find it to be cost effective. I also find that I eat more desserts than I normally would, simply because it comes with the plan.

I might reconsider paying for a dining plan if they allowed us to choose between an appetizer or dessert because then the 4 of us could get 2 appetizers and 2 desserts and share.

I just want to make it a little clearer...your dining plan is based on the NIGHTS you stay, not the days you are there.

Also, I don't think you can add it once you are there; it has to be done at least a few days in advance, but hopefully, someone will come along to clarify that point.

It must be added in advance, I forget exactly how far. At least 2-3 days. But, if you are less than 45 days out, you might also have to pay a change fee.
The value of the QSDP is pretty questionable as is, it certainly would not be worth having to pay a change fee.
