dining plan question

We just returned from a wonderful Christmas vacation at the World! A month before departure I found out that my friends were surprising me with a trip to WDW for my birthday! I immediately called Ticketmania and had my ticket changed to a 10 day no expiration rather than the 5 day that I had already ordered. We will be staying at a DVC resort on one of my friends points, and I was wondering since I already have my ticket, will I be able to add the Dining Plan for my October birthday trip? I know that DVC members will become eligible in April, but can I add it to my partially used MYW ticket? Is it added to the park ticket, or room key? Just trying to do some advanced planning!

You can only add the dining to a package. You would have to get room, tickets, and dining to create MYW package.

I think that the DVC plan is tied to # of nights, regardless of ticket. I have an AP and am able put the dining plan on for my April '06 stay.

From what I've read, the dining plan should be tied to your DVC room key. Just ask your friend to have the plan added to your reservation. It will be charged to your credit card when you check in.

Thanks so much! I've heard several different versions, and I sure hope it turns out that we can utilize the plan. We are staying at Saratoga Springs, and can't wait to use the Spa services while we are there! 40 might not be so bad!
