It says:

Standard Dining Plan

Includes: Each person on the meal plan will receive credits for the following, per day

One table service or buffet meal, including appetizer (for kids 3-9 ONLY, at lunch & dinner), entrée, dessert, OR full buffet, plus non-alcoholic beverage
One quick service meal, including entrée, dessert, plus non-alcoholic beverage, OR combo meal plus non-alcoholic beverage, dessert
One snack from a wide variety of options
One Resort refillable drink mug per person, per package

So is that 1 meal for lunch AND Dinner
or
Lunch OR Dinner

And what is considered table service in comparison to quick service????

What are the snacks?

Each person gets 1 of each of the following for each night they are staying (though you can use 3 in one day if you are staying at least 3 nights, for example we are going for 5 nights next month, but the first day we get in real late so we won't be using any credits that day, we really are there for 4 full days, on the 4th day we have a character breakfast at Hollywood & Vine and also dinner at Mama Melrose at night):

Table Service is a restaurant like Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Mama Melrose, Hollywood & Vine, 'Ohana's, etc... (some of the real expensive restaurants you need 2 table service credits... Brown Derby at DHS, Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom, California Grill at the Contemporary, Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian, Hoop-De-Doo Musical Hoedown at Fort Wilderness, and a bunch of others)

Quick Service is a cafeteria like place like Cosmic Ray's, Pesos Bill's, ABC Commissary, Pizza Planet, The food court at most of the Hotel's (mostly the value and moderate hotels), etc...

Snacks... popcorn, fruit, 20oz soda or water, bag of chips, etc...

How you use the credits is up to you. You can use three table services the first day if you like.

A table service is somewhere that you would sit down and have a server/waiter take care of you (Chef Mickeys, 50's Primetime Cafe, Crystal Palace). A quick service/counter service would be somewhere that you would order your food, then they give it to you and you go sit down (Pizzafari, Harbour House, etc.)

A signature meal is a table service, but counts as two table service credits.

What is considered a snack?

According to the 2014 dining plan brochures, these are some examples of snacks:

Frozen Ice Cream Novelty, Popsicle or Fruit Bar
Popcorn Scoop (single-serving box)
12 oz. Coffee, Hot Chocolate or Hot Tea
Single-serving prepackaged Milk or Juice
Single Piece of Whole Fruit
Single-serving Bag of Snacks
20 oz Bottle of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite or Dasani Water
22 oz Fountain Soft Drink

7. What are the snacks?

1. I don't know what webpage you are quoting, but there is one definite error because the dining plan is based on NIGHTs and not days. If you are staying 6 NIGHTs and 7 days you will receive 6 TS, 6 QS and 6 snack credits per person.

Here is a link to the 2014 Disney Dining Plan (DDP) that lists meal components, restaurants that participate and general information:
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/me...alog/WaltDisneyWorld/en_us/PDF/2014Dining.pdf

2. The DDP brochure lists the entitlements for each type of meal. An appetizer is not included in all children's meals, but when it is, it must be from the children's menu (usually a cup of soup or a salad or something similar.) For adults there is no appetizer component in the DDP, although it will be included in fixed price meals at lunch and dinner (e.g. CRT, the dinner shows, Akershus, Fantasmic! Dining Package and at the few places with prix fixe menus such as Les Chefs).

The non-alcoholic beverage for adults is a standard fountain drink such as soda, coffee, tea, iced tea, lemonade. Also bottled water at QS. Some restaurants may include other options, but you'll have to ask.

3. Yes

4. Yes

5. You decide at which meal you want to use your TS and QS credits. All your credits will be given to you when you check in so you can use them in any order you wish. One day you could have 3 TS or 2 QS or not use any - it is up to you.

6. TS is a restaurant where the host/hostess takes you to the table and a server takes your order, serves your food and clears the table. At buffets you'll have a server to take away your empty plates, but you get your own food. At all you care to eat family style restaurants the food is brought to your table by your server.

Quick Service (also called Counter Service) is like a McDonald's or Starbucks where you go up to the counter, order, find your own table and carry your food yourself.

7. Here's a thread that has the confirmed snacks for 2014. At the end of posts 1-5 you can click on the blue Confirmed Snacks for 2013 where one of the posts is a list of what was confirmed for the resorts. Dizneydaz says there haven't been too many changes from last year at the resorts:

I have (silly) question. How do buffets work with the dining plan? I keep reading that the buffets are all you can eat however if you plan on using a dining plan it is not, that you only get plate? Can anyone clarify this for me?

Buffets can use the DDP and are all you can eat. The website crashed earlier..we have done lots of buffets. Boma and Tusker house are faves..does not matter how you pay.

Buffets are all you can eat.

If you order a special meal instead of eating off the buffet, you will only get 1 plate. For instance: if you have an ADR for Crystal Palace but you request a kosher meal, they will not keep making you plate after plate of kosher food.
